I have a Mits 73" DLP HDTV bought a couple years ago just sitting in my Garage because the Light engine went out. It is a huge paper weight. I have heard that it will cost about $1000 to $1500 to fix it. The original owner of the TV didn't get the extended warrenty and I believe that this failed right after it expired. He gave me the TV and just said pay to get it fixed. I thought that was cool, until I found how much it was to fix it.
