Godfather is a good one. I would also say movies such as Braveheart or The Patriot. You dont hear too many complaints on those two...

Braveheart. Too long. These aren't my opinions. I'm just playing devil's advocate. The Patriot.... Come on. There are 1,000s of movies better than that.

My only vote would be Casablanca.

I hated that movie. I realize I may go to hell for that, but I know I'm not the only one who feels that way either.

Although I enjoyed the film I would have to say I disagree with this statement as several of my friends hated that movie.

Casablanca & The Shawshank Redemption are the only two movies that I havent heard much negativity towards.

I thought Passion of the Christ was a very bad film. Don't know why that is revered like it is. I'm probably gonna take the express elevator to Hell for this, but I refer to it as "Faces of Death Presents: The Snuffing of the Christ". Sorry if that offends anyone in advance.

+1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even though I've seen it 2 dozen times I'll still buy it.

Close to flawless movies out on BD (IMO):
300
Apocalypto
Goodfellas
Ratatouille
Troy
Casino Royale
Crash
DejaVu
Deliverance
The Departed
The Last Samurai
Memento
Sunshine
Training Day
The Untouchables
The Usual Suspects
The Patriot

That should get you started. Those are "must own" movies IMO.

Sorry, but to me, some of those are very "OK" and no more. And I straight up HATED crash. That's the most racist movie that tries to act like it's not racist. It's a race movie for and by white people. Anyone who disagrees is welcome to try me, but seriously...it totally overlooks institutionalized racism for the most part (except for a few notable scenes) and relies on blatant racism to comfort people with the fact that you don't see that shit in the streets every day. <<my opinion. It didn't deserve to even be nominated for best picture imo.

I agree. Crash is one of the worst movies I've seen in years. I've still to this day never heard someone explain to me why they thought that movie was so great.

You sir, are on my good side. I totally agree.

Also, I don't like North by Northwest or Braveheart at all. Is Casablanca still standing strong?

Well id say your wrong and that its true to real life. Maybe it all depends on where you live... Im talking about the racism aspect, i think the movie is pretty good to ok, but not WOW, what a great movie kind of great...

I prefer to think it was David Cronenberg's Crash that was being referred to. Now that is a great movie, much better than the other Crash.
