If I'm reading this excite translation correctly, downloads for the Japanese Metal Gear ONLINE open public βeta begin April 17th. That's a Thursday and I wonder if that could be worldwide.

The actual testing period appears to be between 4/21 (Monday) and 5/6 (Tuesday).

JP is sign-up. NA is pre-order.

I think NA and EU will be sign-up as well, but when you pre-order in NA, you are GUARANTEED to enter MGO Beta.

You get five maps and a bunch of modes, skins, guns etc with the game and more will be available (don't know how soon) as extra.

Ok, DON'T WATCH if you don't want to see the GAME OVER sequence, but the scene itself doesn't show anything spoilerish.

Otacon SNAAAAAAKE! Game Over Sequence (Japanese V-O)

Wonder if it changes as you progress through the game or if they changed it for the show demos so they don't spoil anything. Love it though.

what MGS2 is the best one. It mixes a proper camera, a exelent if somewhat confuzing plot and doesnt have the curing crap from MGS3. And it has some of the best cutscenes ever.
