For me personally I would have been severely disappointed if I had driven all the way to Austin and that was the sum total of what was on display or available. Nothing could match the hype, but I didn't see anything I had to have.

I think that would look perfect. Man I'm so jealous. James really did the movie justice in his artwork on this. He needs to team up with someone [other than mondo] that can get his other ideas printed.

+1. As a fan of both artists and ALL of the movies represented.

Will anything ever top the Universal Monsters show? Probably not.

I do like what Mondo does with the metal prints they have done, I have the Iron Man 2 Stout metal and it looks amazing in person but not sure "Drive" was a film that screamed "metal print". Also was surprised at the other films that were chosen for Stout to do, not sure if Mondo requested them or Tyler did himself. I will admit the Taylor First Blood and Silence of the Lamb ones are quite nice. High production runs on the standards for his prints so my guess is when they do go up for sale, probably after the gig, they will be pretty easy for people to get. Variants will be more difficult since a good amount of them probably will sell over the course of the show.

Man, I really like that Watchmen variant. Been waiting for a nice print from that film but this will more than likely not be something I'll be able to afford obtaining.

Also liking the Stout Drive, portrait version. Love Stout and Drive but wasn't feeling the city version AT ALL for various reasons. That said, like Watchmen, this will probably not be something I'll be able to obtain for a reasonable price, which is frustrating.

Yeah I really thought James did a fantastic job with this print and had he been able to release it to the masses, it would have sold very well. I think I will stick with silver sharpie.

Don't be so sure, when they get released online, while not all will be available at that time, I don't think they will be that hard, especially the Stout Drive Portrait which has 585 made, and that is quite high. I am sure Mondo will give everyone a head's up on when they will go up for sale. It doesn't appear the vinyl soundtrack was released at the gig, maybe it was, but rumors I am hearing is it could be a Record Store Day 2013 release that Roar touched on earlier.

As much as I love Taylor, and no disrespect meant to his prints, but I still prefer Anthony Petrie's First Blood and Matt Verges Silence of the Lambs.

Hope you're right, I'd like a shot at that Drive but if I could choose just one print from the show to own it would most certainly be The Watchmen variant. I think Taylor nailed that one with the exception of the small omission of The Comedian's trademark bloody smiley face pin.

Just checked out those prints, I will agree Petrie's First Blood is very nice indeed. For any "Akira" fans out there, artist Alexander Iaccarino has put up a few slightly damaged ones from the print run (only 100 were made, signed and numbered, he has 7 that he added to his site) along with some of the artist-proof copies to his site. It looks like he put them up around 9pm pacific time this evening so probably not a lot of people know yet. Great guy, great artist, the Akira piece is really quite nice:

You probably already know this, but down there in Portland, and being a Hellboy fan, you are right there in Mignola's backyard practically.

Your Halloween frame up is also gorgeous.

The one early Stout I really want is The Lost Boys. I love that one.

Really liking that Ken Taylor WATCHMEN. Since its a thousand times better that the theatrical posters. Humm..

Now to pick should I buy the Ken Taylor WATCHMEN (love the VAR but pricing is already up for it) or a Japanese anime Blu-Ray Import?

My list is pretty short from the show, though I suspect it will not be easy to acquire.

Looking to get both Labyrinth handbills (reg and var), that Drive letter press (edition of only 125) and possibly an Attack the Block variant if I can get one under 200.

Looking forward to Mike Mitchells show in April! Hopefully there's no exclusive JLUs though I guarantee there will be

Pricing may be up no the Watchmen variant on eBay from those that attended the gallery event, but they still have not been officially released online, so I would think Mondo will be holding some back release via their site soon and at the standard price, not the eBay prices. Go with the print, you will probably enjoy it more so than the import Blu-ray.

The posters themselves were not bad, the first advance I will admit was rather lame, but the second advance of the Comedian falling to the streets below was nice. Final style wasn't bad, IMAX style, being the hardest to get, was a tad bit on the "busy" side but its incredibly rare so most don't complain if they can find that one.

Thanks.

I tend to like the Stout regulars over his variants as well. In the case of Blade Runner the gold/green/blue just matches the color palette of the film so much better than the red IMO.

Are we talking about THIS Watchmen IMAX version?
[Show spoiler]

I'm still tossing it over (Poster vs BD) But that VAR is running high since word on the street is it's a sold out print. I'm looking at eBay. I thought I could do this around $100 or even $150 tops but the variants are going high. I might just go for a REG and save myself the stress and money- though I REALLY like that VAR.

EDIT: Goin' for a poster 1st. If I can't get my hands on a VAR then I'll get my BD import and get a REG.
(Yea I really want that BD too it's on sale.)

Yes, that is the image of the IMAX exclusive. Damn hard poster to find, I don't know of any other dealers who have them, and as you can expect they are expensive because so few got out there. I think I was only able to get 25 of them at the time, I probably have less than a dozen left.

Regarding the variant, I would be surprised if Mondo sold out all 200 variants, I mean those who are reporting that they are sold out probably are saying that to get people to bid who don't realize that they "could" go on sale online from Mondo eventually/soon. Sure there is a chance they did sell out, but sometimes people put misinformation out there to help fuel the frenzy if you know what I mean.

Apparently the Watchmen print won't be sold online as its sold out (as "Kraken" pointed out). Same with a lots of the prints by the sounds of things unfortunately Would love to get the first Drive poster's metal edition! The variant isn't half bad either, although I prefer the standard designs colour scheme, the Glow in the dark effect on the variant is awesome.

All that said, apparently Mondo hasn't got any of the Drive prints and the only way to get them now other than via the flippers, would be through the lottery on his site.

Was this officially reported or, again, is this things people are reading in eBay auctions, etc? Not saying it isn't true, but there tends to be a lot of speculation when it comes to prints and in the past I have seen people posting misinformation on eBay, etc just to get people nervous and place bids thinking they would not be able to get it later, etc. Selling 585 Drive prints plus 200+ variants seems rather hard to believe in the two days the event has been going on. If Mondo has reported it though, then I would tend to believe it, but I don't know if they have. I would think they would hold back some prints for online sales knowing not everyone can hop down to Austin Texas.

I did see that they sold the vinyl LP at the event, curious if anyone got one of the hot pink vinyl records that were randomly inserted, or if the Record Store Day 2013 rumors are false. Saw someone already has sold a metal Drive print on eBay for $900.
