You have to go into the sound options and only select the audio that you will use. Most of the time I only have 3 boxes checked, DTS, Dolby Digital, and 5.1 48KHz. This works fine for all PS3 games and Blu-ray movies using 5.1 PCM. Now if I'm going to play music or PS2 games and I want surround sound, I go to sound options and uncheck 5.1 48KHz. Now the Blue light on your receiver will disappear and you can apply any of the sound matrixing to your stereo sources. Then if you want to go back and watch a Blu-ray with 5.1 PCM, go back into sound options and select 5.1 48KHz again. This works fine for me, but I don't mind going to the sound options every now and then. Give it a try ![]() |
