Final Fantasy - Blu-ray Forum

Just wondering how many of you will be picking this one up. I have the dvd and will be buying the blu-ray. Its a decent movie with nice visuals so I'm sure it'll look nice on blu.

I will get it on Blu-Ray and also TMNT-> even if Warner is on my pissed off list ( had to rant )

It'll look great, but I still say they should have put out advent children rather than this one.

The movie was decent if you didnt think of it as a final fantasy movie.......must have advent children lol. I'll more than likely pick up TMNT, ahh the good ol' days when the cartoon first showed up.

I think it would make more sense for them to put out this, seeing as to how the spirits within movie failed a lot of FF fans such as I. Didnt advent children make more off dvd sales than spirits within ever made?

Add me to the Advent Children wishlist, I sold my DVD in anticipation of it supposedly coming out back in April. Thankfully I made a DL copy first!

I pre-ordered this when I got the email from Amazon.

I had the DVD but I loaned it out to a friend and it never came back, so this will replace it.

While it isn't exactly a great FF film, it was pretty impressive for its time so this one is going into the personal archives.

A must have...great movie on DVD and should look great on DVD. I know there won't be any grain on this one.

I remember when I first saw it in theaters, for the time it came out it looked freaking amazing.

I used to have the 1 disc version of the original Final Fantasy movie on dvd but I just recently trade it in where i work which is Gamestop just so I can get a better chance to get this Blu-Ray version. Its an ok movie not the greatest movie but its still worth watching but you have to really love the Final Fantasy series to get this movie. This is just as much as an anime movie as Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children so which means if FF7 is not an anime movie then neither is this but if FF7 is considered as an anime movie then this is also. I love the CGI animation especially in Advent Children. The more sales for this version of Final Fantasy the quicker Advent Children will come out to Blu-Ray just remember that so please buy Final Fantasy on August 7th so that Advent Children will come out sooner.

I'm also going to pick this one up. It was a movie ahead of its time, but certainly one for the archives.

Also add me to the Advent Children wishlist. That needs to be on Blu-ray.

I am definitely going to get it. I thought it was a good movie, and i have the DVD, but I think it would be worth it to get on BD. I am a big animation nut so this is right up my alley.
But yeah.. Advent Children is much better.. and a MUST have! I remember seeing the DVD of Advent Children playing at the Magnolia center at Best Buy on a big hdtv, I was so amazed I thought it HAD to be high def... but it was just up-sampled. So now I want the BD version even more!

I'm very curious to see how FF:TSW looks on Blu-Ray - it was certainly a technical breakthrough at the time it came out - but I hate to spend money on disks that I'm pretty sure I'll never be able to get anyone else to watch. My friends aren't as geeky as I am, I guess. This movie deserved a better response than it got, but that might not be reason enough to buy it.

Advent Children should be coming out on Blu-Ray now as well. I think they are being a bit greedy, hoping that if they wait a while they can sell it to the same people twice.

Well I have this movie in PAL DVD (and to me that looked very good compared to the grainy IMAX print I saw of it a few years ago) and I just got the BD, so hopefully this will look great. Now all I need is time to fit into my busy movie viewing schedule! 300, Shooter, Final Fantasy, T M N Ts, Blue Planets and Red Planets! Disturbing!
