Is this the quickest amount of time every MLB team has lost a game? Only 4 games in nobody is undefeated.

Everybody in the AL Central is in 1st place. And last place.

No team has finished with the worst record in MLB three straight seasons since the 1962-65 Mets who did in four straight times. Houston would do it a third straight time this season. I'd say they have an excellent chance. Miami might give them a run for their money though as the worst in MLB.

The Astros just keep setting records nobody would want to have:

-The Astros are the first team in 90 years to strike out at least 13 times in 4 consecutive games at any point in the season
-The Astros had an MLB record 43 strikeouts in their first 3 games
-All 4 starting pitchers the Astros have faced have either tied or set a career high for strikeouts in a game
-Astros first baseman Brett Wallace has 11 strikeouts, an MLB record for the first 4 games of the season

Come on, Chad. It was the 1800's the world was a very different place, and that's one of the key ingredients to how how the war was won. That's how we broke the south's back. I'm not sure what you mean by "we." I despise southern politics, something we're still dealing with the fallout from today. But in the end I don't give a damn about either side. The Civil War was nothing more than a rich man's war pitting poor people against each other, like nearly every war is. Remember the draft riots? The poor saps on both sides didn't even understand what they were fighting for. The average working man in the north was living in a state barely above slavery, tied to his employer and living and working in abject poverty. As far as people like Sherman go, I despise them because they advanced the concept on "total war." Taking the fight to civilians by burning property and food DOES lead directly to widespread misery and death, even if you don't directly kill them.

I watched the film Lincoln recently and found it embarrassing. It's about a bunch of hypocritic, self-absorbed elites detesting one practice (slavery) while giving a damn about social justice in their own backyard. But I guess that's another story for another day.

I think my Jays were severely overrated. They'll be lucky to finish anywhere near .500 the way they're starting the season off. And yes it's a small sample size, but their crap players still look just as crappy as they did last year so I don't see much changing.

They've only been together for 4 games. Once they get a couple of road trips under their belts, and get to know one another, this team will groove and contend in the AL East.

They also have the biggest eye sore in baseball. This ridiculous looking thing cost around $2 million to construct.

Andrelton Simmons is day-to-day with a left thumb sprain. BJ Upton will be hitting leadoff. Maybe the move will get him going and the Braves can shift some things around a bit. Either Simmons in the 8-hole or put him in the 2 and move Heyward to 5.

I couldn't disagree more, Chad. The north victory in The Civil War is one of the greatest moments in our great nation's history. It greatly saddens me to hear anyone speak of the Civil War the way you just did. It directly and indirectly gave us the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to our Constitution, Homestead Act, Jim Crow Laws, etc. The Civil War was also very instrumental in industrializing America and opened up a lot of trading opportunities. I hope you enjoyed the film, Lincoln. It surely is a brilliant and very informative film (as well as a great history lesson) that should be required viewing in every school across The United States. Sorry for derailing the thread guys, sometimes the history major in me really comes out.
