I know it's early (REAL early), but this Braves team just feels special. And Justin Upton is just crushing. 5 HRs in his first 5 games. And people were worried about his numbers away from Chase Field.

Enough is enough, it's time for the Cubs to stop using Marmol as a closer. He is a pathetic head case who almost blew his first 2 outings before today. I know the Cubs are just using Marmol in the hopes he'll build some trade value but it's not happening so it's time to make Fujikawa the closer.

Some notes on the Uptons' HRs...

25th time brothers have hit HRs in the same game.
6th time brothers have hit HRs in the same inning (last was Cal and Billy Ripken in 1996)
1st time brothers have hit game-tying and game-winning HRs in the same inning.

Navster will disagree, but with the pitching the Dodgers have, it's a damn shame (for the pitchers) that their hitters aren't doing jack.

Kemp has been terrible so far. He's lost his power ever since that injury last year.

Btw middle of our lineup is stinking it up!

Good time at the game tonight, much better than opening night. I could get a beer and go to bathroom in five minutes tonight versus the hour wait opening day. I had to organize a work dodger night, keeping track of 80 tickets, seating chart and parking wasnt that much fun lol.

Cubs have replaced Carlos Marmol as closer with Kyuji Fujikawa. I mean, I guess it's an improvement, but Fujikawa gave up 3 runs last night, and his ERA is 11.57 (still better than Marmol's 27.00).

And while looking up the exact numbers, I found that of qualified hitters, Starlin Castro leads the team in batting average.... at .190.
