Everyone is entitled to thier opinions. Personally I agree with Judgementday2007, the PQ and SQ is very good on this film. Sure its not the best film out there but its worthy of having some of the best picture and sound on BD to date.

Personally, I think that's a stretch. I think there are several films out there with better PQ and AQ. And there are definitely a lot of BD's out there that are just better movies (regardless of the PQ/AQ). Again, just my opinion.... from a fake BD fan. |

While I agree that Stealth definitely isn't Academy Award winning material, I agree with the OP in it is a good title to show off picture and sound quality even though there are better demo titles available on Blu. Besides, bad movies are just fun to watch and it doesn't hurt that I got it for a bargain bin price.

Yes I was supprised as well. The PQ and AQ are really good for a 25GB movie. The AQ being a tad better than the PQ. It rocked with my Onyko 705 7.1 system.
P.S. This movie was awesome by the way. I have no idea why everyone hates it. It gets better with every single watch in fact. ![]() I still think of this movie as kind of a prequel to Terminator. Last edited by tilallr1; 03-24-2008 at 07:10 PM. |

I'm going to have to quit ready older posts, especially yours.. I read this just now at work, started laughing and could not quit. Couple other guys came over to see what all the commotion was about, and they are in stitches. That was too funny

Not the best film - by a long way - but fun if you don't expect it to make sense. The PQ was not bad - better than the DVD (Yes I own both
![]() Thought the AQ was superb and well worth the upgrade from DVD .....well that and Jessica Biel in a bikini in high def! |

I just meant that if the movie had a better video encode on a 50GB disc with alot more special features, it would have even been better. I guess what I am trying to say is that for a 25GB blu-ray movie it was the best I have seen so far.
Also, IMDB rating - which is usually the most accurate rating on the web rated the movie at - User Rating: 4.8/10 (14,269 votes). Which is dead in the middle. Which means people loved and hated this movie. This explains the mixed set of opinions on the forum. It was a fair movie, not good or bad, but fair. |

If you rated a movie 4.8/10 wouldn't that mean you thought it sucked? Well since that is the average rating.. the average person thinks it sucked! Simple enough.. That doesn't mean you might not like the movie of course.. Last edited by statikcat; 03-25-2008 at 08:41 PM. |

Not to put the OP down or to agree with what was said, but to express my own opinion on the BD release; I was disappointed with Stealth on Blu-ray. I saw it on DVD first, then a family member bought the Blu-ray Disc. When I watched it I couldn't notice any difference in video quality from the DVD that was upconverted to 1080p except during the scenes in Asia. The slight improvement was only noticed after switching discs.
Despite what I have just said, I personally believe the lack of a great improvement in video quality was either from the cameras used by the director, or the photography production itself. I think this because the edges of the film are constantly out of focus during the movie. Maybe the camera crew were inexperienced, or maybe it was just what the director wanted. I believe it is possible that the actual picture quality of the BD was high, but that the film from the movie itself prevented any significant improvement over the DVD in the video quality. I do think that the audio quality was good, and a great deal better than the DVD. |
