#1 looks kinda cheesy, and common.

#2 looks nice, but it almost makes it look like a serious drama, which it is not.

#3 is pretty cool, but yeah, the yellow is a bit over the top. But overall, I think this is the one that best captures the quirky spirit of the movie, of the three.

Forget Brazil (cheap gags on an unlimited art-direction budget), and Brothers Grimm (which was pirate-released in some Asian countries under the title of "Van Helsing 2", and I, for one, agree)--
Terry Gilliam had one moment of glory, and that was "Time Bandits".
Everything else was just a pale imitation, the Baron especially included.

And call me unimaginative, but I voted for #2:
#3's more "creative", but 2 has more comfortable associations with the movie we remember.

And that Sony's releasing it at all is good news, since I've learned that for whatever new format comes out--DVD, PSP, Superbit, downloads, what have you--we can expect six mandatory "iconic" Sony back-catalog titles to be first out of the gate, as sacred tradition:
Spiderman, Fifth Element, Resident Evil, Baron Munchhausen, Labyrinth/Dark Crystal, and Monty Python & the Holy Grail.
We have now reached the Fourth Ritual Plateau, now BRING ON THE OTHER TWO!

Come on, you can't slag Brazil like that.

And also, the man has many more mature movies than Time Bandits. Even if his recent output has been disappointing, The Fisher King is still one of the most interesting films of the early nineties. For example.

Just an update on this movie, and the artwork contest.

Looks like choice #3 won...

It is now officially posted on Amazon, and they have a larger version of the picture:

Since this kind of turned into a TG appreciation thread, can somebody comment on Tideland? It's out in Germany, but I've never seen it.

And yes, I would love to replace my Criterion edition DVD of Brazil

Fisher King and Fear and Loathing will find it's way into my collection as well. And the Baron of course.

Does anyone got a picture of the other two?
I'm looking forward to getting this film and have had it preordered for a while now.
But only because I remember my father and sister used to always watch this film.
The Film always scared me only because of the scene with Death.. I mean i was a KId at the time when seeing this film and thought that scene was very depressing.. But i was looking on youtube and well..... spoiler don't read further? unless you seen the film?

it's a joke?
But anyhow now that i'm older i want to see this movie for what it is.
So it has become my number one most anticipated release as of right now.

I didn't really enjoy Tideland as much as I had hoped. Although, I find Gilliam very hit and miss. I loved the hell out of Fear and Loathing, 12 Monkeys and the Fisher King, but I hated Tideland and Baron Munchausen. Maybe hate is a strong word, but I didn't enjoy them as much as those others. If you enjoy all of Gilliam's work, I would say you would probably enjoy Tideland.
