, which is what i am planning on doing when the time comes for that. I would think that any current 1080P BD movie would be able to play in any future BD Player and Ultra HDTV, in double the resolution of 1080P with a progressive scan ranther then an Interlaced scan. That's considering that i can play all my old Dvds in 1080P, on my Blu-ray player and HDTV that both work up to 1080P.

Upconversion is the cheap way out. This is why I upgraded all of my DVDs that were available on BD during 2008. Upconversion hardly looks any better.
