I think they would if they could, but from the looks of it the footage is just garbage. I can't even imagine Paramount tried to ever restore any of it.

i doubt that. warner has the rights for the nightmare on elm street series. yet part 1 and 5 have never been restored to the uncut state on dvd or blu-ray. i have very little hope that these versions will ever be re-released.

h20 was a big hit at the time, looking back on it now, its kind of a joke - it reuses the scream score.

I've never cared for it -- thin, pointless, not scary. I definitely fall into the H2+4 > H20 category.

It was a big hit because most mainstream teenagers don't know **** about True Horror films.

Jason Goes to Hell is probably one of the top 5 worst horror movies I've personally seen: it has nothing to do with the Friday the 13th series, and comes off like New Line just shoved Jason into an already existing direct-to-video screenplay.

Don't have a desire to see Jason X or the remake, particularly since the kills in the latter sound quite sadistic. One thing I like about the series is that Jason is usually pretty quick and to the point when taking people out.

I'm eager for a 1-8 set, but I'd accept a 1-10 box if that's what WB releases.

hey now, jason goes to hell is awesome. does it have a whole lot to do with the other friday the 13th movies? no of course not but i think thats what i like about it. it took jason to places he had never been before while paying homage to all the things that the fans love him for.

as for the kills being sadistic in the later friday movies, is a pair of hedge clippers to the face or a spear through the throat really much nicer and kinder then having your face frozen and smashed? i think not

this might be the only chance we get to have a complete friday the 13th box. i would be disapointed with anything less then 1-10 and the remake

I'm going to catch hell for this...but...JASON X is my favorite film. It reminded me of all the really crappy late night movies on USA as a kid on their "UP ALL NIGHT" show.

The kills were really cool and the one liners....aaaannnd it had Kane Hodder. I enjoyed the film because it was just mindless fun and everyone was intentionally stupid. Unlike the remake where they were trying to act and ended up looking stupid...with bad boob jobs.

Reading the article, it seems to me that this would not affect the possible box set coming from WB later this year, but would affect future F13 films.

Am I correct?

I hope we still get these on bluray. I dont really care who has the license or rights. I just want them on bluray but I have a feeling if there going to make another F13th movie then they will wait to put out any blurays for when that movie comes out.

Well, if the report about Paramount reacquiring the rights to F13/Jason Voorhees, we will still see a box set this year from WB.

They know that F13 has a cult-like following and that this set will sell and sell quickly on Blu-ray.
