How the hell is CB Bucknor still employed? He's easily one of the 3 or 4 worst umpires in the majors.

He might not have cost them the game, but he definitely cost them a chance at the game. It's just sick that MLB has no way to fire umpires when they consistently show an inability to perform their job. Bucknor and Angel Hernandez have been terrible for over a decade each. If I were as bad at my job as they are at theirs, I'd be fired by the end of the first year.

I just dont get Donnie sometimes. Slow ass runner on 2nd and you dont pinch run. Same slow ass runner on 3rd and NOW you pinch run??

Who knows. It's just he keeps making these mental midget decisions all season long. It's tiring. But yeah thanks to whoever that Brave pitcher was who gifted us the win.

Mets and Marlins both had 2 pitchers throw what would qualify for a QS (except 2 didn't start pitching until extra innings!)

What a crazy day. There was a 20 inning and an 18 inning game.

Check out some of the stat lines for Miami and NY.

Kevin Slowey - 7 innings pitched, 94 pitches, 0 runs allowed for the win. All of his action was in extra innings.

Shaun Marcum - 8 innings pitched, 105 pitches for the loss. All of his action was also in extra innings.

And like Sycro said, 4 pitchers in the game had what amounts to quality starts. Also, the game took just 6:20 to complete, which is pretty quick for what was the equivalent of >2 full games. There has to have been many records set in that Mets-Marlins game.

And then he unleashes the cannon to nail Simmons at 3rd.
