Now, take into account marketing for the film, you're looking at over $275 million, which I've been trying to tell you. Period. The movie is over budget, much more than Disney was hoping for.

Also, $215 million is way too much for a western film, whether you want to believe it or not. That is an insane amount of money for something like this.

Finally, when it comes to marketing, I know the marketing isn't doing it's job because no one seems to be interested in the film. It's only projected for a $35 million opening right now. That's a colossal misfire for something Disney spent so much money on. That, to me, tells me the marketing is terrible. This is 'John Carter' all over again for Disney. This has nothing to do with the quality of the film itself, but it does show Disney needs to be wiser with how they spend their money.

Yes, you're right, they went over budget when they first went into production on the movie. But what my point is that they lowered it to the amount after that that i've been mentioning of, meaning when they had stopped the production temporarily. It did not go over budget after they solved the budget problem they had with the movie and when they went back into production on the movie either.

No, what you're posting is wrong.

Production stopped before the film had even started shooting to deflate the budget. After that happened, and the script was changed, the film started to shoot and ended up behind schedule, and then went over budget again. That's what I'm telling you, and you somehow aren't comprehending. Did you read what I just posted? You quoted it, so you must have noticed the part where I said that article post-dates yours, which means mine is the accurate number, not the article you're quoting that is a year older than it. Quit trying to go in circles with this. This is the truth of the matter:

'The Lone Ranger' has gone over budget, more than Disney would have liked. The film is tracking poorly, which doesn't bode well, and this could be a financial disaster for the studio, regardless of the quality of the film.

If it helps you sleep at night to believe otherwise, fine. But I'm done arguing with you over it, because you just don't want to believe anything that anyone is posting, so it becomes pointless to try and reason with you.

Disney confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the death of the crewmember on the Johnny Depp-starring Western occurred today. The worker's name has not been released.

"We regretfully confirm that a Lone Ranger crewmember has passed away after being taken to a local hospital. Our hearts and thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues at this time, and our full support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this terrible event," said the studio in a statement, confirming a TMZ report.

The crewmember is said to have died during preparation for an underwater action scene. The person was not a stunt performer and did not die during filming. Disney is investigating the circumstances.

The big-budget movie, being directed by Gore Verbinski, has filmed in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Utah but moved to Los Angeles in September.
The shoot has endured wind and dust storms, and Depp reportedly injured himself during a horse-riding scene.

It turned out that the production was cutting corners, and he didn't have a lot of the tools and things he needed, and they ended up getting fined an obscene amount of money for the this gentlemen's death. Sad, really, that them not paying attention to safety guidelines can lead to things like this.

Glad to see you finally saw it, Galactus. I really do love that movie, more than many seem to. Other than a bit of dragging in the middle, I think it's almost a perfect pulp fiction adventure. I only wish we could get a sequel to it, instead of things like 'Alice in Wonderland', but sadly, those are the money makers, and it wasn't...

Yes, and I read that article. The movie only went over budget once, it didn't go over budget a second time. If it were to have gone over budget a second time, then that would have been revealed like it was the first time the movie went over budget.
