Default Problem with switching video outputs

I often take my PS3 over to friends' houses to watch a Blu-Ray movie. But here's the thing...I have an HDTV, but not all of my friends do.

So, before I go over to a friends' house, I always have to remember to switch the video output before I leave my house. Otherwise, when I get there, it won't work because their TV doesn't have HDMI.

One time, I got to my friend's house and realized that I had forgotten to change the output before I left. I had to drive all the way back home, switch the output, and then drive back.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

dude, while the PS3 is in standby (red light)...press and hold the power button on the console until it beeps twice.

This resets the A/V settings.
