If you had to pick one of these guys based off a month of stats, which would you pick?

Player A: 31 G, .407/.435/.683, 8 HR, 19 RBI, 4 SB, 24 R
Player B: 31 G, .406/.448/.729, 7 HR, 20 RBI, 4 SB, 22 R

One is in the "Final Vote" after his first 31 games. The other is a 3-time All-Star who hasn't even been mentioned as an All-Star this year.

The NL Vote should be pretty interesting. I expect Puig to run away with it. Voting for relief pitchers is pretty boring, though. I would have liked to have seen a ballot with Daniel Nava on there, instead.

Know what's worse than the fan votes? The homer managers putting guys like Marco Scutaro on the team as the 3rd 2B and 6th middle infielder.

Dumb question but how are the final fan vote candidates determined?

I don't understand a system that doesn't put Longoria on the All Star team in the AL, and I'm perplexed he's not a final 5 vote either.

The players and positions for the fan vote are determined by the All-Star Managers. Most likely with some input for MLB itself.
