[Show spoiler]I thought I saw them after he snapped Zod's, but wasnt sure and the clips that were posted didn't show anything conclusive.
also, people could just buy the official Man of Steel book and read the ending to know for sure what happens.

I guess I'm becoming harder to please as I get older....I was disappointed in this overall. The only people I thought actually did well with their characters was Costner, Crowe, and Shannon. I think Superman and Lois could have been cast better, and I don't say that lightly, because I like Cavill and Adams...
I'll have to give it another shot when it comes out on blu, hopefully it'll be better; but for right now - glad I didn't have to pay to see it...

Hey guys, remember when some people on here were convinced that Man of Steel would gross $200 million+ in its opening weekend, and laughed at any lower estimates? That was so precious. Good times.

I see some optimistic ones but did anyone actually think $200m+ was possible?

The same could be said of Superman himself. There are different interpretations, but now it looks like we're poised to get the Luthor many of us love. The Luthor we grew up on in the DCAU and the comics.

A serious character rather than a bumbling fool. Like our new Clark. Serious rather than a bumbling fool.

Where? My local Drive In said Warner won't let Drive In Theaters play their films. That is unless they charge each person in the car. Forgot to mention that I saw it again Friday at my local Regal Cinema. And to those who think the

Not sure where you live? I live in Washington State and drive in's are becoming a lost cause in our area because of movies going digital. The drive in we go to is the Rodeo Drive In. With a 4 year old it is perfect experience for us. He usually watches the first movie and is out by the 2nd. So my wife and I are able to watch a movie without interruptions. They both fell asleep before Man of Steel came on. Back on topic, I'm really hoping we get the business tycoon Lex Luthor. With all the damage the Kryptonians caused to Metropolis alone I think this sets things up pretty good for him. I like him much better as a puppet master than a in your face villain.

North Carolina, our local Drive In said they would love to play Warner Bros. films but they won't allow Drive In Theaters to play them unless they charge each person a fee. I'm starting to think they lied! lol

Lex can be awesome but if he's the main guy I hope he's a one-off like the Joker was in the Nolanverse with Batman. He would be the perfect villain, as others have said, to ingratiate himself to Metropolis and the world by using his immense fortune to help rebuild Metropolis while he's secretly plotting against Superman and the world the whole time.

I think for the general fan and public, we should ALL be do this, no question.

I think it helps us act as better judges about films that we may end up liking or not. A movie's "first" trailer is more than enough to digest and sometimes can become the enemy of it's own film due to details.

I only watched the first trailers for Fast and Furious 6, Iron Man 3, Star Trek Into Darkness, and Man of Steel, and possibly several other movies. Your point on movies that you're watching in the theatres with trailers is another hard one to avoid, especially if you've seen an earlier released trailer.

I remember only seeing one trailer for Olympus Has Fallen. I still didn't remember all the details of the trailer, and after watching the movie I said to myself, "that movie was quite good." Of course there were things I didn't like about it, but I'm glad I didn't see too much from a trailer.

I'll only subject myself to seeing only the first trailer for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, The Butler, Don Jon, Elysium, Oblivion, Rush, Thor: The Dark World, The Wolf of Wall Street, and The Wolverine.

Expect the sequel to do even better since now people know what Snyder and Goyer can do with the character.

Just my opinion obviously, but that is highly unfortunate considering that Iron Man is a galaxy worth of better than Man Of Steel. But, then again, it's also a galaxy worth of better than both Spider-Man films at the top of the list as well.

On the other hand, there are a whole lot of people who went to see this first Man Of Steel with open minds who have now been disgusted with what Snyder and Goyer have already done with the character. Personally, I know quite a few who have said that they are done with this incarnation of the character and will not bother with any of its sequels. I will only see a sequel if I get to see it for free. So, I'm very skeptical about "an improvement" with the sequel.

How nice for you, still not sure why people who hate movies insist on going back into the thread for that movie, oh well. Man of Steel is my favourite superhero film of all-time and I think the sequel is going to be an absolute blast, wish it were here already.

I know people that didn't care to see this movie but went, liked it, and will probably see the sequel so it seems to balance out
