While the PS3 can/will be able to decode the DTS-HD MA and TrueHD and send it via PCM to a receiver via HDMI, I would recommend thinking ahead a bit and realizing that if you ever decide to get a standalone BD player, this option will go away.

Additionally, the more expensive receivers have additional benefits as well.

Think ahead before making the final decision.
