No worries people, just make sure you spread me some love

Yeah, forgot about the postage, but if you have a CEX within walking distance and that store does sell that boxset (you can find out on the website), then it's still just 38 quid. Even cheaper if you want to trade in unwanted DVDs/Blus/Games

Just got my Limited Collector's Edition from Sweden, because it's my birthday. No number on that one either.

16 now.

Thanks, theprestige85 for sharing. Been waiting for this to come down in price for a while.

Does anybody know how CEX are when it comes to delivery?

I have this set. It's lovely great artwork and the films are awesome.
Already got Psycho on steelbook, don't like it as much as most of the others, but yeah, also heard good things about Frenzy - will watch all of the ones I haven't seen at some point, and then buy any others I like.

I know it's cheaper to get the set but I'd rather pay more and have them in separate cases and organised in my collection with the rest of my films than in a boxset. Director's sets are too arbitrary somehow, even though I do like the design of this. Just personal preference/ocd

Also being Universal I wouldn't be surprised if they drop in price and go into some sales before long.

I like the price but not the idea of buying 2nd hand stuff online from CEX.

Too much of a lottery. For every success story there's likely to be a hard luck one. My luck is constantly dreadful.

No problem.

CEX are great when it comes to delivery, at least from my experiences. They usually dispatch within the day after you've ordered and sometimes even the same day. I've never had to wait more than 3 working days for an order. If you were to order today, i'm pretty sure you'd get it by Monday at the latest maybe even Saturday if you're lucky.

You have to remember, there is a YEAR warranty on all CEX products, and most of their stuff is heavily inspected. I know because theres been times where i've tried to trade in the odd game or DVD and even if there is a minor scratch they'll refuse to take it.

I've only ever had ONE disc that wasn't in good condition, and it was when I ordered TimeCrimes from them a few years back. Disc was scratched and not working properly. I sent it back immediately and not only did I get sent a new replacement disc, but I also got sent £5 shop voucher as an apology. They are solid from my experiences and 99.9% of the time their products come in really good condition.

I've even had blu's come with slipcases when i've delivered from them.

Lol, I sound like a hype man for CEX, but I assure you guys, I don't work for them! It's just i've been going to them ever since I was in my teens, and have gotten really good value from them. They are a bit commercial now, and sometimes their prices can soare to retail value, but when their prices go through their low stages, they are unbeatable.

Ordered mine Tuesday, posted yesterday, arrived this morning!

Mine's in very good condition, a couple of very minor dents on the outer box and some mild scuffage where a price label has been removed but, for something second-hand and for that price, it's in great condition. No rips or tears or real damage. Very happy to finally own this.

Mine was dispatched yesterday and arrived today. Minor dents on the outer box, and all the discs had been put back in the wrong slots, but a small price to pay for such a... small price to pay.

I admire Hitchcock greatly - but even for me his Box Sets are too much a good thing. I've opted to just own his three best (IMO) titles: Psycho, Rear Window, and Vertigo. I already have the UK BDs of the first two (both excellent). I'm hoping that the upcoming BD of Rear Window will have an original mono track, otherwise it's no buy. I have the 5.1 remix on DVD and hate it.

Rear Window's already released, I watched it 2 nights ago and yes it has the mono soundtrack.

Yeah, I have Psycho and Rear Window, both HD mono.

Vertigo has been released previously with only remixes, so that's the one I'm worried about.

What's the PQ generally like on this release? Might be getting a new job soon and this will probably be my first purchase.

Cheers. I'm guessing the US transfers are identical to the UK ones?

I believe only difference is we do not get North by Northwest in the boxset.

I thought generally the PQ was good. Marnie and Family Plot being the exceptions.

If anyone is after the collector's numbered edition, I am still looking to sell my copy for £75, posted within the UK. PM me if you're interested and I can give more details.
