It is NOT in the store. You ahve to have pre-ordered the Metal Gear Solid 4 game from Gamestop (Only from gamestop) and they send you a limited edition DVD and the code and instructions to download this BETA.

There are icons for when someone is voice chatting, but I haven't actually met someone doing it yet.

I heard that it does support voice chat in game.
I think it would be hard not to use it actually. Now I'll need to hook up a mic!

He doesn't live in the states, in europe it was in there store.

im in california and i just played a game! Created my player and everything. Make sure your using your game id and not your konami id. Well im off to work so ill be on later. When you create your character you can choose what name display you want i just chose my psn BigRick10

I dunno why konami did that, they did not have a preorder thing over in Europe like we did.

Once done you will be able to play -- as long as you can connect to the server. Obviously they're being hammered right now, so it make take a few tries to get on. Didn't take us more than three attempts, so persevere. Once in, you can create a character and start your training before heading into a proper online game. Be sure to let us know what you think. Is it now easier now to download the patch now that Konami have set everything straight? I can't see for myself, cos I messed up my connection settings for my console. I'll be back online soon enough though.

Oh and for those who have problems with p2p, try changing the port number your isp maybe blocking that port, some isps in a effort to fight downloading illegal content place block on known p2p ports, it does not tell if your activity is legitimate or not, changing the port is a way through that.
