Universal to make DTS-HD MA the standard for Blu-ray

At this moment, I prefer DTS-HD MA over Dolby TrueHD and PCM simply because I don't have an HDMI receiver capable of providing me lossless sound, and DTS-HD MA still provides me with a 1.5 mbps soundtrack, but by the time Universal titles start to come out I should have a new receiver, so I'm open either way!

I'm thrilled that Universal will be providing us with "lossless" audio though... bring on "Serenity" now!!

Universal is approaching new transfers on a title by title basis based on the feedback of the people that compressed them in the first place and reviews. So there are titles that are being redone, including the Mummy releases that have already been announced. So they are not simply recycling their HD DVD video transfers, unless there was no real room for improvement.
