Well if you are using weight as a comparison and say that a heavy product has better parts, the Pioneer is almost 5 pounds heavier than the new Onkyo 606. I'm a little tempted to just pre-order the 606 at jr.com for $450 shipped, but am a little hesitant. The Pioneer 1018 just looks so much nicer imo. My roommate has the 605 with the onkyo HTiB and it doesn't sound all that great; I'm sure it's the speakers. I just got the Polk Monitor 70s and CS2 that I will be using, maybe I should pull his receiver into my room and see how it sounds with my speakers. Question though, the 70s average is at 130 watts, which was another plus on the Pioneer, will I notice much difference if I run at 110 watts?
