i was actually looking at this receiver also. I have a onkyo 605 now on some klipsch speakers and it sounds great. I was looking into getting a 805 for an upgrade and came across this receiver. I would have to see this receiver benchmarked, because I read an article in ht magazine about sony receivers claiming 110 watts per channel and when benched, they only putout 30 watts per channel. This is why I got a onkyo. marantz,onkyo,denon, harmon all putout around or one their speced power.
