Beautiful stuff. Back many, many ages ago, I never would have figured that comic movies would become such a huge phenomenon at the box office!

At the very least, an animated version.

That would be a good thing. Don't think it would have worked. Different Superman, and Batman on there etc....

JLA has been tabled, not canceled. From my understanding, bringing Bale and Routh in was a huge part of the plan.

You're saying they're considering it?

I put a link and interview in one of these threads from a Routh interview. He said someone talked to him about Justice League, but no one officially offered him the role. As far as Bats v. Supes, he said he didn't think the two should ever fight, but he deeply admires Bale and wouldn't say the word "no" anymore.

Would love to see a live action version of Doctor Strange. Could look really amazing with state of the art SFX, even better in 3D. Johnny Depp would be my first choice to play the lead.

Agree. They could make him an interesting character. Only issue is that Doc wasn't exactly one of Marvel's best sellers.

I assume most of these films will be awful.

Captain America has the most potential of the four. Avengers could also be ok, but I am not going to hold my breath.

I am not going to get overly excited for more Marvel films just because Iron Man was really good. I still remember the horrors that are Ghost Rider, Hulk, Daredevil, Elektra, X-3, both Fantastic Four films, and Spiderman 3.

Since Iron Man hit at the box office they are probably going to put out a bunch of rubbish as fast as they can now. Hopefully that is not the case and they get good actors and directors to take care of these projects though.

I just hope Fin Fang Foom isnt part of Iron Man 2, I know he's a quinessential Iron Man lore, but to see him fighting a cg dragon would just be too unbelievable for the second movie. I can see using Mandarin, but getting too mystical with Iron Man might throw some people off, I hope they do something with the alcohol problem as a side plot, it would be inspirational and a good addition to character development.

it would definitely be a 180 from the direction they took in the movie just released...

if they do bring in Mandarin, they'll try to use the most realistic and reasonable angle....but it would be tough...

I would compare it to bringing in Mr. Freeze to a Nolan adaption of Batman....it just wouldn't work..
