you can't hate stupid people, they just don't know any better.

I love muscle cars, but I can't drive them everyday like I did with my first mustang. its every little thing like that, that makes our energy situation worse. although where I work the higher the cost of gasoline, natural gas, and electricity to higher the demand for our products thus the higher my bonus. I hate it but it helps me make more.

and my last post was all kinds of sleep deprived rambling. man.

Demand all over the world is driving gas up. You can't blame a developing country like China and India. Sure their middle class is growing and they are able to afford cars and gas now. You can't tell another country to stop getting better because your gas is up and mean while we are driving Hummers and Yukons.

We have 2 options to make gas prices go down or stay where they are

1- Start investing in other fuel sources (Not corn please. Sure will we will save a buck on gas but we will pay more for corn flakes).

2-Force another country to stay poor so we can enjoy lower prices.

I'd pick option 1. But I am sad to say there are people out there who don't see anything wrong with option 2.

From the Associated Press today:

Analysts think some traders and investors will try to push oil prices to the psychologically important $100 level this week. Crude prices are within the range of inflation-adjusted highs set in early 1980. Depending on the how the adjustment is calculated, $38 a barrel then would be worth $96 to $103 or more today.

There's another reason. Speculators driving up prices.

Im originally from Jersey, and i join the military and been living outside that state for about 8 years, and i rather pump my own gas but hey just my opinion. And the prices down where i am right now is about 2.81 for regular.

P.S. I settle down in MD out of the military.

Sorry to necro post but I didn't want to start a new thread when we have this one.

This morning here in the Detroit area gas prices jumped 30 cents, from $3.57 to $3.87.

Did anyone else see a big jump today?

Ive got a Diesel Jetta and I'm paying $4.05. I don't mind though. I'm getting 40 miles a gallon which is a lot better than a lot of others can say.

I was thinking about this the other day.

There should be no correlation between less Blu-ray spending on our part and higher Blu-ray prices. I mean, if we're in the A/V hobby business, its expensive as it is - and to afford it - well, its not a necessity. Gas first, A/V second. I says. I take back what I said about being personally affected. I am...not.

Mine is 3.70 for 87, 3.99 for the good stuff.

It depends on the population. Supply and demand. So California is going to have the most expensive gas. I think SF is the most expensive. Whatis it now $4?
