Default favorite "fair" food

i talk about food a lot here, i guess its my inner fat kid.

what is your favorite "fair" (be it state, local, street, etc etc) i'm talking deep fried twinkies, bloomin onions, australian battered potatoes, the whole shebang. with the "san diego county fair" coming up i'm curious what everyone likes.

i love the australian battered potatoes, bloomin onions, funnel cake, and i'll try whatever the newest deep fried monstrocity is this year. though i rarely eat them ever again. so far the deep fried oreos have been better than the DFed snicker, or twinkies.

Fond memories as a child at local fairs in the fall with the smell of Cotton Candy, Corn Dogs and Mustard in the air.

I've actually not had one yet, doesn't seem like my cup of tea, but its definitely a "favorite" of mine to see it every year when I go to the fair. The deep-fried stuff (like the Oreos) are yummy, but I just can't eat much of them. It's too good...

That said I love the typical carnival stuff. Corn dogs, burgers, pizza, etc. Even the Mexican, Texas BBQ, and Thai BBQ stalls at the fairs I go to are yummylicious!

I have had the burger at a minor leauge ball game. It was okay, nothing special.

I have a funnel cake everytime I go to the fair. I always like the lemon shake-ups as well. I went to our local homecoming yesterday, I had both of those as well as a kabob.

I love fair style fries with lots of vinegar. Just tried a deep fried snickers for the first time this year, that was off the chain. I also like the "cheese on a stick," like a corndog, but with cheese instead of a hot dog.

Aren't peanuts plant balls??

For me: Corn dogs and funnel cake. I can never finish a cake because of the grease but my god I give it hell.

It's a waffle/funnel cake, topped off with whipped cream and that powdery sugar stuff, that has coke dumped on it.

Some people swear by them, and some people hate it when their pastry gets drenched.

I tried deep fried oreos at the San Diego fair like 3 years ago (went to see MxPx) Ooooooooohmygawd it was awesome. But my usual fave is funnel cake. Knott's Berry Farm has the best...IHOP just can't compare
