While there are certainly a few similarities, when you really get down to it, these are two very different things. There's a place for both, and one certainly doesn't make the other irrelevant across the board.

Fair enough. I was thinking too much from my point of view I guess. The only rips I would be interested in storing are tv shows I don't have on bluray that will probably never see a release on bluray or even digital HD for that matter. Namely hammer house of horror tv series and Worzel gummidge complete collection.
