At least that is what the show was like for most people with DVR's, myself included. At least the replayed the announcement pretty much everywhere but man Fox needs to bring this show in on time.

i hear ya and have had this happen a few times to me, but i learned quickly. just add 10 minutes to these kinds of shows and you usually get it all.

I don't like the show (my wife is the reason I end up watching it), but this season Cook blew me away, and I ended up totally rooting for him (while my wife got progressively less interested, as she was rooting for either Carly or Michael Johns).

He will go farther than Daughtry and possibly Clarkson, mark my words

It depends on who your talking about. Milli Vanilli for example sold 14 million albums and 30 million singles, most of which came from one album, on the other hand Zeppelin sold 111.5 million albums. I'm not saying Carrie Underwood is untalented, I've actually never heard a song by her, I'm just saying don't judge how talented someone is by the number of albums they have sold.

Coincidentally, Lou Pearlman just got 25 years in prison . . .

I'm almost 100% positive that Chris Daughtry still works with his band that he worked with before he won American Idol and writes all his own songs.

Anyway . . . I ended up watching this last night. My wife wanted to watch it, and since I insisted we go to a midnight show of Indiana Jones, I figured I'd oblige I remember watching some episodes of the first season before it blew up into the circus it is now and thinking it was a cool show. I watched it last night and it's just so over the top it's horrible. Most of the people on there, including Cook, can't get through an entire song, or part of a song, without missing notes, yet they're "stars."

The song they gave him to sing at the end is one of the worst songs I've ever heard. Hopefully he does something in the future, because I wouldn't count on that song to reign in the bucks.

It's no wonder I haven't found a new band I like in about seven years.

sorry for the correction, but chris got kicked off 4th from last that year and was not even a finalist, yet still kicking a$$

that song at the end cook sang was picked from a people who wrote their own songs and entered them in the idol contest. so it was not his song, he just had to sing it.

+1 for this. I see all kinds of American Idol wanna be's come through the studio. Most of them are mediocre, and really have no chance. I got disinterested in the show when I realize it was more about popularity than real singing talent.

That's where I got to. I love watching/hearing people sing, even if it's just karaoke . . . if they can sing. But most of the people want to "Mariah Carey" every single song where they have to turn one note into a slur of 40. Just sing the f****** song . . . hit the note right in the first place, then worry about adding something to it.

Some guy did that with Baba O'Riley. It was one of the worst covers I have ever heard.
