Although it's not set in stone, it appears that fans could expect to see Spider-Man 4 in theaters within the next three years. Whether or not director Sam Raimi and stars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst remains to be seen.
I wish it would have been quicker. That's almost about the same time The Avengers movie comes out. Still could change though.

If Dunst isn't back, hopefully the girl they replace her with is a trade up, not a trade down like the Dark Knight.

Default Sony going with a new Spider-Man

Last week, it was rumored that Sony Pictures is looking to shoot Spider-Man 4 and Spider-Man 5 at the same time using a script by James Vanderbilt that spans the two films. While that hasn't been confirmed, Latino Review added its own rumor... that Peter Parker/Spider-Man may get recast for the films.

Who do they say top the producers' list for the role? Patrick Fugit and Michael Angarano. More details here!

So does that mean Sam Raimi, Tobey and Kirsten Dunst are all out? It's too early to tell, but just remember none of this has been confirmed.

It kind of helps if you post the link for your info, so no one will think you're lying or a complete idiot.

What about the announcement of Toby playing Rick Hunter (ugh) in Robotech for 2010? If that's still a go it may interfere with him returning as Spidey.

You haven't seen Almost Famous? Patrick Fugit is the main guy, William Miller. Excellent movie if you haven't seen it.

Long time ago, still didn't remember him. Looks like he hasn't done anything of recognition since so might be why.

Wow, yeah I haven't seen a single thing he's been in since. When Almost Famous came out he was supposed to be a big up and comer.

They both played the same character in that movie, just at different ages.
