Whats with all the kojima worship. MGS is great, but the dudes a bit of a nutcase. He seems to think of himself as the second coming. Very arrogant. Although I can see why with all the people hanging on him telling him that he is the second coming.....

Are you sure you are thinking of Kojima and not Itagaki of Team Ninja? Kojima seems rather modest in most of his interviews and videos. Itagaki loves shooting his mouth off about how every game he creates is better than the last and better than any other game in that genre.

before you come in this thread an start saying that kind of crap about kojima, please back it up with some type of example.

i have seen nothing but humility from the man.

examples of that are when he admits he "just got lucky" with metal gear, that he should not be compared with Lucas and he is not the genius Lucas is (when the man is truly a better storyteller than Lucas), and how he said the he would give Metal Gear a 1 out of 10 if he were reviewing it a few months ago.

Yeah sounds like your talking about someone else, there are other game developers who think they are (ninja gaiden.. the dude that does tekken etc..)

Don't know much about Metal Gear,.. never played one of the games. But,.. This new one looks interesting. Maybe I'll pick it up...

you need to have a good grasp on the story to understand MGS 4. If you don't know much about metal gear, watch the metal gear retrospectives on gametrailers, or just wiki stuff.

You are forgetting the flashback activation in MGS4, but it would help to watch the gametrailers MGS retrospect, which are awesome btw.

Sweet! I'm guessing that's the PAL LE? I'd rather have the OD Green/Coyote gear figure next to my regular blue-grey/tan version instead of the art book or whatever GS is offering.

The one from Edge is very weird. Like Eurogamer, you can't help but think that the reviewer has a mega chip on his shoulder concerning not just MGS but the very genra (Tactical Espionage) it belongs to, and ends also with the guy practically rejoicing about the end of the series, despite saying that MGS4 provides "in many ways an experience without equal".

Urban Ultimatum gameplay (map wasn't in beta)

Pretty good Snake player in parts, I particularly liked the sideways jump down a level.

that map looked pretty sweet. i cant wait to get this, but im gonna have a hard choice, play story mode or online......... my bad, thats an easy choice, story mode then non stop online for a few weeks straight
