heres the big problem though. we are dealing with J6P and we are dealing with J6P in a recession.

J6P goes to wal-mart buys a big 47 inch Vizio 1080p and thinks he has a state of the art home theater. Can he hear the movie fine? yep. Does he really want to spend another 1500 for a decent sound system, nope, hes got better things to spend money on, hes very content with his Vizio. I bet less than 10% of hdtv owners own an HD capable audio system, so audio is really a moot point when talking about mass adoption.
