why don't they just come out and say how long the cutscene is. I mean it could only be 70 min. long and somebody might say that its nearing the hour and a half mark, and then another person says that, 90 min. is a gross exageration.

I bet anything the final cutscene is at least an hour long.

I bet there's like 40mins of cutscene/gameplay mix then 30mins of pure cutscene like MGS3's ending.

I have a feeling the final cutscene is a little longer than that. Im thinking more like a 20 min. cutscene, you face the final boss of the game, and then a 60 min. cutscene to finsih it off. that is where they are getting, nearly 90 min from adn thats where they are getting 90 is grossly exagerated from.

im going to get mine at midnight, so its less than a week away for me. i got like 6 and a half days left!!! but it will probably take me half a week to get to the end.

im not going to powerplay, i want the full effect of the greatness of MGS IV. but i probably will play 12 hours a day for the first 3 days, which will put me near the end of the game. that leaves 7 hours for work and 5 hours for sleep.

I remeber a ad for star ocean 2nd story , it was a notice to hold your mail for x amount of days..

I can imagine a notice of vacation request being a mgs4 ad lol...

Oh man, that brings me back down memory lane! Didn't that game have like an insane amount of multiple endings depending upon your character interactions throughout the game? Also it had a ton of secret weapons and characters. My friend and I had to take turns playing that game because it took so long to beat. And yes it was even with a strategy guide too! Though I think what took up most of our time was that stadium that had numerous levels in it.

If MGS4 has that much gameplay as well as replay value with single-player option I will be extremely pleasantly surprised as it seems like the trend nowadays is concentrating on multiplayer replay value.

wish i would have seen that earlier, i was just reading the AU IGN review (9.5/10) http://ps3.ign.com/articles/879/879429p1.html and there are some spoilers, i stopped reading the minute i read one of them.

Thoughtfully designed menus, detailed information, deep options and the look and feel of a game that knows it's important.
10 Graphics
This game hands a cigarette and blindfold to just about everything that has come before it.
10 Sound
Consistently excellent score, voice acting and environmental sound effects. The final mix is utterly absorbing, cleverly implemented and almost as impressive as the visuals.
9.5 Gameplay
Evolutionary Metal Gear - and that's a very good thing. There are niggles here and there - it's not perfect - but it's very polished and engrossing.
8.5 Lasting Appeal
Metal Gear Online or not, we came for the single-player game. We got just enough to balance out the cutscenes. There is definite replayability to be had, if you're passionate.

Incredible OVERALL
(out of 10 / not an average)

I feel like people aren't taking MGO into account enough.

That sucks but cheer up! the game is still not ruined for you, theres people that have took the hit already and have warned us to stay away from this places since theres jerks going around posting some major spoilage.

No problem Marine Mike, four years of waiting just to have the game ruined a week before release should be considered a crime! luckily I was cautious and some really nice guy warned us about this aswell as Ryan Payton guaranteeing major spoilers to be released today at Gamefaqs.

Watch out fellow comrades and do as snake would do "sneak out" until 6/12.

if anybody pulls any crap in here, they deserve a perma-ban.

im not a harry potter fan at all, but some of the things people were doing at the HP7 premiers were ridiculously rude and should have been hauled off to jail for IMO. You don't go tell a bunch of fans who have been waiting for this book for years, the spoilers to it all, as they are checking out and can't go anywhere to avoid hearing you.

The one i read on ign au was not big at all luckily and a lot of people wouldn't even consider it a spoiler.

well.. i read the guide and the last boss is crystal snake who is a combination clone of sephiroth and big boss. the mother who carried crystal snake was samus.


does anyone know if th US version of the MGS4 LE comes in a metal tin and two seperate cases? one for the game and one for the blu-ray?

lol playing through the 3rd one right now and its great so far. first time playing through.
