Nowhere does it say Amazon.ca is getting the steelbook, so I don't know why people are assuming that. That listing doesn't mention steelbook at all.

Unfortunately this SteelBook is canceled in north america due to there being no title on the spine.

For your information, it was started by someome that works for the main offices of Futureshop and is an extremely reliable source. So before you start blaiming somone for misrepresenting, maybe we should have all of our facts in line!!

That makes the situation even worse.

1) Employees aren't supposed to divulge details that are still under negotiation. They are violating the contractual relationship between their companies and the movie studios. They are also violating the terms of their employment. They can be fired for doing that.

2) Jumping the gun is a form of FUD.

If there is a steelbook announcement coming from certain members of HDN then there is 95% chance of it seeing light of the day. They mostly have reliable info pertaining to steelbooks. At times for some reason steelbook release may get like in this case but that doesn't mean people should stop revealing or posting info when it comes from good source.

As far as I remember you yourself started Divergent thread when Zerox from HDN posted info at futureshop forum

If 2 out of 10 steelbook announcement do not materialize. Should people stop posting any info? That not right.

Point 2 still applies. Future Shop didn't even actually finalize plans to carry the Steelbook. Thus, that thread prematurely raised people's hopes.

I agree with jscoggins. ZeroxX39 posts ongoing negotiations and/or possible Steelbooks on HDN. He is not allowed to post these "possibilities" on Future Shop's official forum. It's only when it's confirmed that he's allowed to reveal them there. Anything outside of Future Shop's official forum/website are just speculations and not definitive.

Dude most of the time I agree with you but now you are just nitpicking.

As for getting people's hopes up - if one release gets cancelled some other country will get it.

If we go by your point then people should only post about steelbook when it actually gets released and they have it in hand because even a sure shot steelbook release may get cancelled by stores/studio a day before release for weirdo reason.

Just take it easy guys it got cancelled because of the titleless spine which most people would have hated anyways.
