Did anyone else notice this... but not only did I get my MGS4 bluetooth headset early, I already got charged for MGS4 AND when I checked on GameStop... They added an ART BOOK to my order for free!!

I read the reviews on it that its poor audio quality as well as other things. What is your review on it?

intersting , i thought it was my crappy 5.1 logetich but yeah the sound quality made me raised my eyebrows , i dont know but maby it's better with the tv's speakers rather than a sound system (exactly the same issue with gta4) however the gameply's sound is good no need to worry , it's the cutscenes only with me

I was referring to the limited edition headset that he got early :P

I sure hope the actual game's sound will be good!

There is no way the game is native 1080p.

The cutscenes alone take up more space than a BD50 has @ a 1080p resolution and that isn't even including the game.

This game is absolutely massive and sets a new bar for gaming, by far.

did anybody catch the fairly lengthly trailer in this weeks issue of Qore?

Im not talking about the general advertisment, Im talking about once you are in the SOCOM part of the issue, click "Square", then click "Play Movie" and there is a solid 5 minute trailer, a lot of stuff I had never seen before. PQ isn't that great, lots of compression, but the game looks wicked.

Well I only JUST started to play with it last night.
I had a power outage last week and a flood, so I have been unable to do anything with my PS3 or my HDTV. I checked out the PS3 to make sure everything was fine on a smaller TV, and tried out that as well.
This is what I have so far on the headset...

The sound from the speaker is sub-par. Not as good as I'd like so far, but I could ONLY test it with my own voice. I could only try hear me, and nothing else. So this could easily be an issue and I will have to give a better review after I actually play with it in-game.
As for comfort, although I have not worn it for a long time, the time that I did have it one (maybe 20-30 minutes) was very conformable. I hardly knew it was there. I could easily imagine using this for a long time.
Mic quality I will say impressed me. I used the voice changer tool to test this and I found it picked up my voice very well. When I turned the voice to the speakers, I found that it was very solid. I did not have to put my hand up to my face to talk, I did not have to try to talk into it, I just talked and it picked me up. It did pick up a little background sound, but only when it was very close (aka conversation) and it was not very loud in the end. I think it did an excellent job filtering out the background sound.
Design-wise.. it is very cool. Lasts a long time for long running game play, easy carrying case, looks straight out of the game, has cool LED lights to show it is on or charging (etc), works on both ears, and has a lot of range.

So right now I give it a B. It needs improvement in the speakers, but all other aspects I like.

I might even try and see if I can play without the speaker working, and have the sounds coming through the tv speakers, if the speaker is not as good as it should be.

Very solid review, thank you for the information.

I just ordered a cheapo Jabra headset because it was cheap and apparently not too many issues with Jabra.

Let us know how well it holds up in game once you get it!

If you like it a lot I may have to get one off of Ebay or something as I like Metal Gear series a lot.

Funny thing is its probably shipped already, they pack the products way before updating the system on your account page. Mines been packed too

Yeah but the problem with this (and the way play does things) is that this only means they've accepted their delivery into the system, so it looks like they have copies free, but what has really happened is that they've packed and sent them out already but not updated the system.

The reason they do this is because they don't want to look like they've sent them out too early and get slapped with fines, they only get a 3/4 day window to send their products out before the date, so what will probably happen is tomorrow everyone who has ordered the game will get their shipping notification and then the ones on the page above will go to back order.

(I used to be in charge of this stuff at play.com)

They dont ship games form Jersey anymore.
