I can't say officially, but considering they have released the game w/o a demo, then more than likely they will not be releasing a demo.

I recommend watching as many videos of actual gameplay for a good grasp of how the game is. Atleast thats what I do if there isn't a demo available.

here is my schedule

-Get off of work a 4

-Sleep from 4-5:30

-Go to class til 10 (yeah, its that long, i know it sucks)

-Go to the supermarket by some Double Shots or Energy Drinks

-Get to Gamestop around 11:30 (I have a pre-order)

-Start playing at 12:00

-Go to work at 8

-Come home at 4, say Happy Birthday to my mom (sucks for her, not my fault MGS comes out on her birthday), run down stairs play Metal Gear Solid

-Go to work at 8

-Get off at 4, play Metal Gear Solid until I beat it.

No demo, you can rent it to try it before you buy it.

yeah, there wasn't any real debate with us what he was going to get. i have one and the 2 of us have been PS people for a while. it was just funny and annoying that we had to deal with some "xbox is god" freak. the whole transaction took like 30 minutes because the guy would not shut up about stupid stuff. so now tomorrow we'll be able to play one of the most advanced games out and he'll be at home hoping he doesn't get the red ring of death.

the pre-order is in my brothers name, does anybody think i might have a problem if i just go down. i called gamestop and asked them it was cool and they said it would be fine, but it wouldn't be unlike gamestop to tell me the wrong info and then i walk into a problem tonight.

i want to get battlefield bad company but mgs4 is supposed to be so amazing. i dont feel like spending $120 on games this month.
i know this is a nubish question but does metal gear online come with mgs4 or is it separate. sorry if that is a stupid question.

not a stupid question.

5 maps of MGO come with MGS4 along with some different game modes. Its kind of a "starter pack".

There will be a bigger MGO pack that comes out later, probably in the form of MGS4:S. Or Konami might allow to simply download the extra parts to the MGO part in MGS4:S to the PS3 for a small price if you already have MGS4.

I won't have any thing to do tomorrow expect to get up and go it. I only work during when collage is in session...so I have the whole summer off. I have been off since the second week of May.

Also, isn't it weird that some of you would rather rush it to the end, rather than enjoy every minute of it?

I mean, how can it be enjoyable to find oneself at 4am, your veins pumped up with sugar and cafeine, your brain on the verge of shutdown, trying to make up what's happening in the 15 minute+ cut scene (and not even the final one), to finally bypass it because your eyelids are closing?

Mark my words, much more enjoyable to play it in reasonable amounts until the week end, in the end your experience will be that much better.

Oh, and whatever you do, you won't have been the first to beat the game to the end, so relax
