Thats exactly what I do with GTA IV. When I crash my ride and Nico gets thrown through the window into a telephone pole. I go out and do exactly that. Then I go home and continue playing.

But honestly, I actually tried to do that with Jack Bauer and a 24 marathon. I started the dvd at the exact time the season started. Of course I realized that an episode is only about 40 minutes long, so 6 episodes into it I gave up and fell asleep.

And YES...MGSO is a free game that comes WITH MGS4. No need to pay for anything else. It is part of the regular game disc (although i think requires downloading/installing/updating).

im hoping it is more successful then it was during the beta. i think we will be stuck using the 32x32 for the logo.

This will be the only reason why I'd buy MGS4 right away. However, if the reviews for the multiplayer are so-so, I'll wait to buy the game until I finish other stuff.

So, with the whole $100.00 gift card deal from Wal-mart, does anyone know if they allow you to apply that $100.00 towards the purchase of the PS3 when you buy it? Or do you have to come back and buy something later with that giftcard? My brother will only buy a PS3 if he spends no more than $300.00…..

If it's like any other gift card offer you can't use it at the time of purchase. But, 100 bucks here or 100 bucks there is still a hundred bucks, so effectively he's still only spending 300.

im assuming you got it off the internet.

go to the store tonight, buy the game, save the receipt.

when your amazon version finally shows up, take that one (don't open it), and take the recepit from the disc you bought tonight and return the amazon one to the store you bought MGS4 from tonight. make up some lame excuse like i got the wrong game. as long as it isn't opened, they should take it back for full value.

go to a wal-mart, they are more likely to give you cash, where a bby or gamestop might just give store credit (if thats an issue for you)

"I bought this game as a present for (my friend/brother/etc.), but (he/she) bought it for (him/her)self. I'd like to return this."

Game stop did not send me anything yet, but I will check my email again.
I am not using Amazon, I am using GameStop.
All it says on GameStop.com is: "Pre-order Ships 6/12/2008
As processing times will vary, you may not be able to cancel your order after it is placed." And above that it lists another item: "PREMIUM, MGS 4 ARTBOOK INET" and it is listed as Backordered.
