I don't know if there is a standard number or if there is a different one per contract (Spidey, X-Men, F4, etc.). That is how they got the Hulk and Iron Man rights back, from Universal and New Line I think. So as long as Sony keeps making Spider-Man films they keep the rights. The X-Men rights continue with Wolverine, just like the Daredevil rights continued with Elektra. I hope that made sense. I think I might have rambled a bit.
