I didn't care for the monkey. Don't know why, just wasn't feeling it.

I do like how Ocelot popped out right at the end with his hand gestures. (geez that was a long fight) The whole, "it wasn't really Liquid" thing kinda threw me. I would have much rather prefer the Liquid's hand took over then it was Ocelot pretending to be taken over. It doesnt need to be plausible, I already let you make me think it might happen in this game world with MGS2.

In total honesty when I finished this game, I felt a huge accomplishment, I've been an MGS fan for years now and its finally finished, and I couldnt be more satisfied. I also felt a sadness inside knowing that I would never get to go through Snakes adventures ever again .

Hopefully in the future I will once again feel the way this game made me feel.......

And just think, Kojima has been done with MGS since MGS2. He kept saying he was not going to do another one. And now he might want to be involved with a 5 if they do one.

I want the series to continue simply because I love MGS. But after the nice resolution of MGS4, I do not want a bastardized sequal simply because the franchise has been good. Especially if Kojima does not head up the project.

___
Sorry Blu, I dont know how to add a poll after the thread has already been made.

So did I man, so did I, at exactly the same part you did, the only other game that has brought me that close was FF7.

MGS4 not only marked the end of a great series and legendary character, but what am I going to play now. I don't think I have been looking forward to a game like I was for MGS4. There will be other big titles, but nothing like MGS4. I honestly have no huge games in mind for 2008 and the year is only half over. I will miss you Snake.

Also to whoever asked the gekkos are urinating on the ground, Kojima stated this awhile back. Why? I don't remember lol but i'll see if I can dig it up.

That was me. I know they did it during the cut scene in Act I, but I saw one do it when I dropped an alert in Act V also. I just figured it was an all clear action they performed to mark the area.

In the two split screen game play/cut scene area's, did you find yourself trying to watch the action more so then play the game? I wish I had been watching someone else play those times as I feel I missed out on a little bit. Interesting storytelling method though. Was dont nicely.

When Snake crawl through the microwave heat and everyone else fighting outside, from the armless Raiden, to Meryl and Johnny being shot at, to Ray flying outside attacking Mei Ling ship. Music plays as Snake struggle to shut down GW. I was almost in tears as he tried to reach the finish line. AMAZING scene!

That is one of my favorite scene, along with the motorcycle chase sequence, the Rex vs Ray, Snake getting burn to pull Big Mamma out of the fire. Snake vs Liquid Ocelot with different MGS theme playing in the background as their lifebars change also to reflect the franchise. EPIC!

There were many EPIC moments through out the game. The whole game was epic and made the whole franchise epic in scale by bringing it all together nicely. There were many touching moments and the game was very cinematic and the score amazing. I don't know if I can say enough about how well put together and thought out this game was and how over the past 10 years (I did not play Metal Gear for the full 20 year experiance) how great these games have been.

MGS4 is one of the best games I've played, hands down. Once I started, I just couldn't stop. Particularly when I reached Shadow Moses - I told myself several times to quit after the next scene... but I just kept on going till I beat it lol.

Great story. While I think it might have had more impact if Snake really did commit suicide, the scene with Big Boss was done pretty well, and it served it's purpose to tie up all the loose ends. But even though Snake lives, it's still bittersweet as we all know he's gonna die soon anyway.

I also agree that the scene with Snake crawling and the splitscreen showing everyone else fighting was awesome. One of the most memorable scenes in a game full of em.

I thought it was funny how Raiden just couldn't catch a break. I was nervous the whole game, because I really thought he was going to die. He dealt some serious ass kickings, though.

My favorite stuff in the game was definitely all the flashback audio clips. The ones in Shadow Moses were great and the crop circle.

Of course, once again we were treated to spectacular boss battles. I was in awe of the Ocelot/ Snake battle at the end. That was amazing.

The rumors are flying because someone asked Kojima about MGS4 on other platforms and he said, paraphrased, "We used a lot of PS3 specific stuff, so I'm thinking about what workarounds I'd need for 360 projects". Immediately every 360 fanatic on the planet jumped on this as proof that MGS was being ported this very instant.
