This.

That's what is so frustrating.

Most definitely this. I have come to almost hate the word because everyone uses it for everything when most of the time it simply doesn't apply.

I couldn't agree with you more on that.

But that's not how a lot of people have been using it for a while, that's the crux of the discussion. They're simply using it to condemn others for liking something they don't.

I would almost say that the inverse ("Underrated") is also true, but that more often takes the vein of "I don't know what everybody's talking about, I loved this!" which is slightly different form of denial.

Unless the former isn't really denial, and it's just an individual being a contrary prick to piss everyone else off.

Great points about the overrated term.

I'd still take that overused term over the urban terminology when you say something that someone doesn't agree with "such and such still got money tho..." Lol.

Saw it in IMAX for the third time last night, and it still felt really fresh, like I was seeing it for the first time.

I don't really care whether someone thinks a movie is overrated, stinky, bad, or whatever. I go to a movie to have fun and, as a by product, form my own opinion. I can't imagine someone's opinion of a movie affecting mine in the slightest so people can blather on about whatever they like; just like the rest of us.

GotG was awesome and underrated......

I must apologize for the crappy art, I was rushed. Lunch time.

I agree, it would be cool if GB was number 1.

Not a chance of it happening. It's not in enough theaters to make much.

Ghostbusters is on playing in 784 theatres compared to at least 2,500 for Guardians.
