It half worked as they got the guy at home but failed to throw it to first in time for a double play. They gave up a single to lose the game on the next batter. If they had played normal double play depth they probably would have gotten out of the inning unscathed.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates shifting. Many people have voiced MLB to ban shifting (like illegal defense in the NBA years back).

I like it, as the job of the defence to get guys out. Perhaps the guy at the plate should learn to hit to the opposite field and become a complete hitter.

All these shifts are starting to get a bit annoying. I think they need to find a way to limit them. Maybe one per inning or one for each players plate appearance.

For a city the size of Chicago, it is also clean. The ballpark has zero parking (it's in amongst the downtown skyscrapers and right beside the CN Tower & Toronto Convention Centre), and is a stone's throw from the Gardiner Expressway, which is a construction/traffic nightmare EVERY summer.

You should see the beer prices at the ACC for Leaf games ($11...seriously ).

Glad you liked the ballpark. I like it when the lid is open but hate it when it's domed. They'll have real grass and a normal dirt infield by 2016 or '17 (FINALLY). The plastic grass and dirt around the bases only, HAVE TO GO.

Happened to the wrong team, but I've now seen a no-hitter in person. Got lots of pictures including bursts of the last 6 outs and the celebration. But forgot to take a picture of the final score board. Did get one after the 8th though.

Uhh......that's putting it mildly. The A's did just get back on the winning track this afternoon beating Seattle 6-1, Adam Dunn hit a HR on the third pitch he saw in an A's uniform.
