I emailed them again and used part of your convo and got it changed to $86.00. I never would have thought it would work but it did and I am happy. I wasn't even going to try but late last night I just had to give it shot and I'm glad I did.

Nope, I ordered mine the same day I started trying, then subsequently canceled the preorder and made a new one each time I was told they couldn't do anything (figured they do it by the order #). So basically I was asking them only a couple minutes after placing the new preorder

I'm thinking I'm going to go through them in order, and then watch the P-Cut first. It really does a much better job of having a thematic connective tissue with H5. It'll finally actually feel like a somewhat cohesive trilogy with H4 and H5.

I'm going to watch 1-7 in order next Tuesday (with the PC for 6), and then all of the alternate cuts and extras (plus Halloween: Inside Story) the next day. Resurrection and the Zombie films will remain un(re-)watched, with the latter going up for sale here. Sorry, Busta and Sheri Moon...

Just contacted Amazon concerned that some people are getting a lithograph with theirs and I'm not. It took some wrangling, but Amazon has promised to have one of their employees paint me a picture of Michael Myers and have it delivered to me by one of their drones.

Really, it's the least they could do.

I was never even going to bother contacting amazon about a price match. I didn't think there was any way they would, or really even should try to match a price from another country.

However, once I saw multiple people were getting the price match, I wasn't going to pay full price knowing others were getting a $30 break on it.

That's on Amazon. Period. If they don't want to match prices from retailers in other countries, then their employees should have a hard line no on it for everyone. It shouldn't be a moving target. It shouldn't be a sliding scale based on how much you've bought in the past. It shouldn't be which rep you speak with. Amazon needs to do some customer service training, or this is what they will get on every release.

Given we know that it can be sold in Canada for $85, and the fact that there is a hefty markup on all this stuff, I don't feel bad. Amazon isn't likely taking a loss here...and if they are, it's still on them.

Oh yeah. I think this just set a bit of a bad precedent, though at least with Nightbreed, I was able to pre-order a copy for just $52.44 elsewhere.

Not that this means a whole lot but for what it's worth, I just called deepdiscount (because they STILL don't have people's order history information back on their site... ugh) to check on my order and they told me that they have the merchandise (the box sets) in and they are prepping the order now.

I'm hopping it'll be delivered by next tuesday but I'm not holding my breath. I ordered way back in June-ish not in May like most people.

Me too on the eco cases. Not sure on H6, but going to start off with the tv versions of H1 and H2. Have never seen them.

I always refuse to chat with an Amazon rep who has a normal name regarding price matching. I always wait till after midnight, that's when the India night-shift crew takes over.

You get a better chance at getting a price match with a Rezi or Tuziai than a Robert or Stephanie.

I guess it just depends on the rep. I sometimes don't mind if they don't know all the policies. As long as they get what you want, is all that matters. I've had a good experience with them so far.
