You keep saying that but how is H20 anything even remotely like Scream? H20 doesn't have horror movie fans reciting the rules of horror. It doesn't have someone killing people just because someone's mother slept with their dad, making their mother leave. It doesn't have a news reporter trying to get the scoop. It is nothing like Scream.

BTW, here are some really awesome shots of the cases and stuff: http://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/news...-set/#/slide/1

It's one of my least favorites. I agree that with the right director it could've been something really good. But as it is, I feel like it's all over the place. The mask. The Myers mansion. Tina. The ridiculous cops. The comedic music cues. It had a really great fall feel to it. But that's about the only good I can say about it.

That said, I don't hate it. The only one I hate is Resurrection.
Looks like DisneyBlu beat me to the punch! HA!

I like 2 and 3. Hellraiser 2 is very similar, a direct sequel slightly more 'action'. Part 3 is more 'Hollywood'

Imdb or amazon Phantasm. Recommend the set as they 'continue' a proper 1-4 series.

The Omen is a classic, again 2&3 are continuation of the story so worth your time with the trilogy. Normally cheap to pick up on blu. Great extras.

I added Evil Dead trilogy and Night,Dawn and Day of the Dead. I hope as a horror fan you've enjoyed those movies.

That's nuts! I've never slow stepped through the flashes before, so that's very cool. Post any more interesting ones if you'd like, I'd love to see them.

I didn't mean plot and story wise. I just thought it was similar in tone and musically. There shouldn't be orchestration in a Halloween movie. But that's just my opinion.

Here's my guesses:
  • Quality of the new transfers
  • Whether or not the mono is corrected
  • Focus on The Producer's Cut
  • The quality and content of material on the bonus disc

What else?
All of that plus the disc menus and whether or not they're exactly the same as previous releases. That's pretty much what I want to read about.

That's on Amazon. Period. If they don't want to match prices from retailers in other countries, then their employees should have a hard line no on it for everyone. It shouldn't be a moving target. It shouldn't be a sliding scale based on how much you've bought in the past. It shouldn't be which rep you speak with. Amazon needs to do some customer service training, or this is what they will get on every release.

Given we know that it can be sold in Canada for $85, and the fact that there is a hefty markup on all this stuff, I don't feel bad. Amazon isn't likely taking a loss here...and if they are, it's still on them.
Just a tiny bit more insight into how Amazon sometimes works with these things: The more often you ask Amazon to make these "exceptions", the less likely you will succeed as times goes by. In other words, if you do this with everything you order from them, they will see this in your customer service history.

Sometimes you have to pick and choose your battles with them. Another 20% percent off or so on a huge set like this is a battle worth undertaking I would say.

I'm guessing it's serious. I can see how someone coming into this thread for the first time might be daunted by now nearly 10,000 posts and haven't read a lot of the older ones.

On the other hand, while I don't see any problem with the pages of price match talk, it has been quite noticeable as of late; I'm not sure how one would miss it unless they literally didn't read any of the previous posts.

I was also thinking today; it will be interesting to see if this set does pop up at Best Buy. I have this on order from Amazon of course, but I wonder if Best Buy will wrap these sets in those awful security tether things. That would significantly damage the boxes.
