I may have embelished my suckiness a little bit yesterday. I guess I was just trying to see how hard it was on extreme. I restarted and have been doing much better. I'm not saying I'm anywhere near as good as you, I'm not even trying to do the no kill or alerts thing, but I think if all I did for the next year was play this game, I might be able to get through Boss Extreme. You and Proteus ought to have a speed gaming session on this level with no kills or alerts. He got the same thing you did. A little earlier though.

+1 i cant imagine myself playing as anyone but snake, it just wouldnt be the same, i wasnt a fan of raiden in mgs2 when u controlled him. Snake is known in the series is the main guy, hes the face of the metal gear franchise, it just wont be the same without him. And your right Kojima may have made it like a movie but he did a good job on capturing your emotions. your really felt for snake and could see urself in his shoes. You could relate to him, which cant be said for alot of games. Thats why alot of movies fail and suceed, cuz u simply cant feel anything for the protaginst, u dont care what happens to him. In MGS deal its different.

Just an awesome game. bought it thy day it was released but was at donnington park for download. Have only just started, but have completed act 1 now. Love this type of stealthy action. The AI in this is so much better than GTA4.

it's simple when you beat screaming mantis with DS3 you'll get the epic ending of it if you used the sixaxis you'll get another ending , i didn't try though

i already have beat the game 2 times so its time now to go for the ultimate goal but am already stuck on the chapter where u gotta escape from those frogs with the ratpack i am not dying but all those damm rats keep dying on me

I beat MGS again, making a start on MGS2 next. I might skip MGS3 before going through 4 again. I'll see how I feel.

I thought you were going to play them in 'chronological order'? Wouldn't that mean that you would've already played MGS3? Wouldn't it have been first? Anyways, I'm working on beating MGS4 on Boss Extreme. I just beat Act I and might have had a chance at beating the 5-hour thing but after I saved, I left it on that screen and instead or sitting at 44 minutes where I was, I'm now at 3:27. Oh well. This is going to be hard enough.

i got true act 1 also on extreme boss my time on the 1ste chapter was
50mins and 31 secs but am a bit nailed u cant buy any non lethal ammo from drebin on extreme and my mk2 is out of darts

I almost forgot to mention something spooky that happened to me. I was going through the game for the third time last night and got to the third act. I did not clear the way for the resistance member so he found his own way. We got to the waterway with the spotlight overhead. He walked almost all the way to the other end when I seen something leaning out peaking at me from behind a wall.
I ran to check it out and it was nothing. I though I imagined it. Later on I ran ahead and cleared out an area. I then ran back to see where the resistance guy went and again there was something peaking at me. I was closer this time and realized it was wearing a tan hat. I then knew exactly what it was. It was the dwarf gekko. I forgot to take a picture and have not seen it since. Keep an eye out it is freaky.

Thought it was sweet that it came with the free pain download

But anyhow. I have never played a metal gear game before ever.
I hear this one is very good...got a 10 out of 10

u might be a little confussed, try to read up before or watch the dvd that explains everythign without spoilers, and ask any of us if u are confused ab out anything

its the smaller geckos... it always follows you while you trail the rebel.

keep an eye out for it the next time around. its ALWAYS there. pretty kewl!

You got to learn those FROGS location and tranq them fast before they do serious damage to those RAT PT 01

When I finished Act 1 I believe my time was 49 mins. You can't buy tranq or emotion bullets in Extreme, but Mk.II is very useful.
