3rd party titles for the Wii have to employ the first party quirks to be worthwhile. See Mortal Kombat [gesture based special moved].
3rd party titles do not employ the gimicks nearly as well, again see Mortal Kombat [ Kreate a Kombatant can't be stored on your wiimote, only way to take it to a friends house, involves overriding their MKA savefile ]. People get the Wii for first party games. Just like the Gamecube. The console itself isn't that much of a step up over the GameCube either, just the Wiimote is freaking huge. |
