You are trying to tell me that there will be all new Avengers in the Infinity War movies? That would be an awful idea and saddens me because I would love to see an Infinity Gauntlet on screen.

Can someone explain, part one of infinity war is coming out then is followed by captain marvel and inhumans then part 2 of infinity war so are those happening some where else or is part 2 of infinity war gonna deal with something else? That takes place after the previous films.

Well, maybe Captain Marvel will get her powers between the Infinity War movies, afterall, her powers are from Kree tech. Then Inhumans will be an integral part of the third movie(calling in the cavalry?)...

It has been talked about it back and forth for about a month now. The idea is that the team is disassembled by the time Avengers 2 is over, and then crushed by Civil War, splintering the sides. Feige confirmed the third film would have a whole new team, which lines up with the rumors the last few weeks from Badass Digest. The rumor goes on to say that the old guard comes back at the end of the third film to help the new team, as they come together to fight Thanos. Basically, one giant finale for the MCU Phase 3, and a swan song for the original heroes as their contracts are up.

It's confirmed that the third film will have a new team, per Feige yesterday. The rest is rumors from well respected people online who have been breaking Marvel scoops for a long time.

There was this story from not too long ago:

This story comes to us from Badass Digest, which says that Marvel is contemplating keeping major Avengers characters Thor and Captain America (and possibly Black Widow) out of Avengers 3 so that they can both keep the actors under contract and avoid renegotiation. With Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans soon to be done with their existing deals with the studio, the idea is that the company would take those characters out of the spotlight for a while and focus on newer Phase 3 characters- like Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, and other "secondary characters from the MCU" who will get the chance to "stand up and prove their worth." Then, at a later point in the franchise, Marvel would be able to bring both Thor and Captain America (and possibly Black Widow) back, which would obviously be a very big deal.

An interesting question mark in this situation, naturally, is the deal between Marvel and Robert Downey Jr. When the Iron Man star's contract was renegotiated last summer, it was reported that the actor had signed on for two more features - specifically The Avengers: Age of Ultron and The Avengers 3. This would suggest that Iron Man could be the original Avenger who sticks around and brings all of the new guys together (the story makes no mention of Hawkeye and suggests that Hulk could be off-world by the time Avengers 3 comes rolling around).

If Captain America and Thor aren't going to be in The Avengers 3, that could mean some very interesting things for currently in-development Captain America 3 and Thor 3. Fans have already been wildly speculating that the former could see its titular hero either die or hang up his shield, and it's hard to say at this point what will happen in the latter when the God of Thunder learns that his father has been "deposed" and replaced by the psychotic Loki on the throne of Asgard.

Marvel definitely has to have Cap (Evans), Tony (RDJr.), and Thor (Hemsworth) face off against Thanos. Just won't be right if the characters and their original actors aren't there for the big showdown, and Marvel knows that. I think they're trying to ensure that happens.

Confirmed: The Avengers Roster is Different at End of 'Age of Ultron'

Back towards the end of August, we learned that there might be some changes made to the roster of The Avengers at the conclusion of next summer's sequel The Avengers: Age of Ultron (watch the teaser trailer right here). Reportedly, that's because Marvel wants to have a different team in place so that some of the contracted members of the original assembly of heroes still have a movie left in their contract for something else coming down the road the the comic book studio's cinematic universe. Now Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige has confirmed that The Avengers roster will be different at the end of Age of Ultron.

Speaking with BuzzFeed, here's what Feige said about the new team coming:

Considering the fact that Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) are going to have quite the confrontation in Captain America 3 when the Civil War storyline kicks off, there's definitely going to be some rifts in the original team by the time The Avengers 3 rolls around, and that's why this new team will need to be in place. Age of Ultron is introducing us to Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and The Vision (Paul Bettany) and rumors have pegged War Machine (Don Cheadle) and Falcon (Anthony Mackie) as being on board too. However, rumblings have also indicated some other new heroes like Ms. Marvel might be introduced too. Maybe we'll find out more after Marvel has some kind of big press event today at 2pm Eastern time. Stay tuned.

I would guess some characters like Hulk will be in both Avengers movies. Ruffalo is signed to a 9 picture deal. Also the original rumor was that Captain America leads the new team at the end of Avengers 2, so unless he dies or goes away somehow in Civil War he might be in Avengers 3 part one, rather than part two (or both).

In any case it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. I'm a little worried about four new heroes all being introduced in Phase 3 (Ant Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel), none of them with origin stories according to rumor. That's quite a lot of new stuff dumped on peoples' heads in a hurry.

I can't believe they didn't announce a Hulk movie for Phase 3. We've had two Hulk movies, and only one was actually good.

As Hulk is my favorite Marvel character, it really pisses me off that he's treated as if he's less important than Iron Man, Thor, or Cap.

Just having him in the Avengers movies isn't enough. I want a real Hulk movie dammit!

Edit: Also, I hope they've worked out everything with Sony, because Civil War doesn't work without Spider-man.
