I think it's pretty inspired casting. Completely different than anyone I could have imagined, so I have nothing to complain about.

I'm interested, though I think it'll be unintentionally hilarious if they have him spout off some of the tacky one-liners that Curry had to & it would undermine the casting. They need to go completely dark like King did in the 1984 intro to the book; that Pennywise is terrifying. In terms of tone, I have faith in Fukunaga.

If they're going with an actor that young, I would've expected maybe Dane DeHaan, someone more dramatic than comedic. But clearly the production team saw something awesome in his audition. They're not gonna hang a hundred million dollars on a "eh, he'll do".

How's that? He's a great young actor. Thought he was great in Wild Bill and Son of Rambow. In fact I've seen him in a lot of things and he has never EVER been terrible.

I reserve judgement. At least they're trying something different.

I have faith in Fukunaga. He's not an idiot, and cast someone for commercial purposes. I tell you.. this is another "Heath Ledger - Joker" in the making. If he is good enough to be casted, then he will be good for the part. I didn't think much of Ledger before Dark Knight.

I don't think this will be a Batman vs Superman bad casting case (like Jessie Eisenburg, Gal Gadot). This will be something different, which makes this special. That said, Tim Curry cannot be beat !!!

Thats not the one that I had in mind for he role of PENNYWISE, but OK we will see. The first IT was great when it came out as a TV 2 part show almost 3 hour in total. I saw it on VHS first than later on TV. It's still a great movie to watch sometimes again. Are they bring this interpretation also in 2 parts or in just 1? If it just 1 than it should be at least 3 hours IMO. Let it slowly unravel.
