Germain from slashfilm.com is saying on the TStout fanpage that Mondo is set to drop a Tyler Stout print next week around Tuesday. He didn't specify what it was but Justin Ishmael the creative director at Mondo recently tweeted an image Stout had done for him of Charles Bronson from Death Wish or it also could be a Jurassic Park as hinted by a few people since that series is still ongoing. I guess we will find out next week sometime but i'm really holding out hope it's a Tyler Stout Back to the future print.

My latest purchases include:

Daniel Danger - Cowboys & Aliens (kind of disappointed with the text on this one, the text at the bottom is really dark and can barely be made out)

The variant for Rich Kelly - A Piece of the Action (Kelly has an odd style...I have his UHF poster as well...but they're neat, especially this one)

And both the regular and variant of Daniel Danger's Star Trek: The Motion Picture

Default MI:4 posters

Just thought I should throw an image up of the red version of the MI:Ghost Protocol Imax exclusive posters I picked up. It's a terrible image, but it will suffice if anyone is curious as to the look of them. Again, if anyone is interested in one of these I will send to you for the cost of shipping. They are 18x24".

What's the signature at the bottom?

...and do you know how much shipping would be?

Hey cathexist,

The sig is the artist, Matt Owen. It's printed though, not actually signed.

If you wanted to PM me with your zip code I can get a quote for postage to you.

Expanding on my first post about the Stout real quick this was just tweeted from Mondo...

I think you're all going to like next week's release. End of line.

End of line is used in the Tron movies and rumor has it now that Tyler Stout will be doing a Tron poster.

Would be surprised if it was Tron, since they released Tron prints last year for both films by Eric Tan. If it is though I would think it would be the original Tron, but something tells me it is something different, but you could be right.

When given an opportunity to meet an actor, etc I will often try to get a poster signed rather than a photo, even though it can be more awkward size-wise. I have a few signed original posters I have obtained myself and some that I have obtained through studio contacts.

You really need to paint that wall and fill in the holes.

Looks good though, congrats on your purchase!

size: 27"x40"

I purchased it on Amazon from the seller "Poster Junction". It was well packaged and arrived safely.

FYI Poster Junction is PopCultureGraphics which is also MovieGoods. If you were expecting an original, it's more than likely not, just a digital reproduction which is what they are known for. I know there are others here who are looking for original "Drive" movie posters, but this one appears not to be.

I know someone was looking for it, and movieposter.com seem like good guys.
I was in the shop this afternoon and did pick one up... price has jumped to $35 rather than $25 so i'm a little disappointed, I could have ordered it when you posted this and paid for shipping and come out a head... ah well... always nice to drop in. It looks great in the lightbox, I'll try and grab a pic tonight.

Edit: Tried in vain again to get a decent picture... one day I'll buy DSLR

MoviePoster.com is a good dealer, I believe they are connected somehow in the distribution of posters to theaters, or used to be. Roar also stands by them as being one of the few people on this forum that actually lives close to their retail store in Canada. I am sure if Roar feels confident in his purchase from them, others should as well. A really good way to tell on this poster, and others, if it is authentic is by taking a look at the back of the poster as opposed to the front, something most people here already know about. Double-sided originals have a lighter backside to them, that has been going on for some time, some studios adopting it quicker than others, etc. So the vibrant color consistency on the front won't be as vibrant on the back, but still double-sided.

There were at least three or four people here looking for one, and since MoviePoster.com has them, and probably not many, hopefully people can jump on it while they have them in stock. With supply and demand, prices for posters will tend to rise, so it doesn't surprise me that the price jumped to $35 already, probably because most dealers don't have them. I mean look at Dark Knight Rises advances they are listing, they have them for $110 each for a "mint" one, which is one of the highest prices I have seen out there. Either they are getting that price or they aren't, but that seems rather high to me.

Hey Cathexist, I meant to comment on this post - those are great finds. I especially like the ones that utilize very few colors but instead rely on contrast and shadow for impact. The Cowboys & Aliens and Star Trek ones both really jump out at me. Where do you usually buy these from?

The Star Trek and Cowboys and Aliens ones were Alamo Drafthouse/Mondotees prints. They go very fast, best thing to do is go to Mondotees website, click on newsletter and sign up, also create an account too. You then will get an email the day before their prints go on sale, which is generally at a random time the following day (in most cases before 10am pacific time). Depending on the artist/print/movie, they can take several minutes to sell out, to under ten seconds.
