Haven't checked all my discs, but 1 & 2 have worked fine so far.

As far as the content, damn, this was SOOO worth it. I never bought the Definitive, so my only means of watching it were Sci-Fi channel re-runs. The upgrade to Blu went better than I ever could have imagined. The sound is clear and vibrant, and the PQ is out of this world. I'm on about the 6th episode(seen most of them in syndication, but still watching it in order. Still a couple I haven't seen or only once or twice), and so far I have been blown away. The episode 'Walking Distance' especially seemed to be amazing, visually, out of those I've watched. Blu has definitely breathed new life into the series. This is the best it's ever looked, and possibly ever will look. The supplemental materials are also all pretty good, from what I've looked at so far. Some episodes have multiple commentary tracks, so big TZ fans should have no problem running out of stuff do do with this set. The addition of things like old the old sponsor ads and the radio dramas is even better.

Does this seem to only be happening to users with PS3s? I'm gonna test the disc out on my laptop bluray player and see if the issue exists there as well...
I just started watching disc 4 on my PS3. Only watched the 1st episode so far, but I had no issues at all with it or the previous discs.

Well I tested disc 4 out on my laptop bluray drive and it worked perfectly fine... I dread to think that my "fat" PS3 from launch is starting to give up... Anyone wanna buy a "possibly-but-probably-not" dying PS3 that's backwards compatible?

My fat PS3 has been slowly dying for a few months now. On occasion it'll play a whole movie and it'll trick me into thinking it's fine, then I get 10 minutes into another and it'll freeze. I guess I'll be getting a slim pretty soon.

As for my disc 4, it works just fine.

DUH!.......Double DUH!...........I forgot I have a PS3(thin model) right there next to the Denon. Wow, talk about a "if it were any closer, it would bite you" moment. I'll give this a try when I get home.

I'm still under the 30 day return on this Denon player and if they can't make it work, I'll return this and get some other brand. Anybody else with a Denon player having issues?

did the upgrade and 8g card. I and 4 of TZ1 don't play. Already called amazon for refund and will continue to enjoy the definitive until another pressing. I'm calling Image on monday.

I was able to play discs 1 and 4 on my Sony PS3(thin model), so it's not a loss. Hopefully Denon gets on it with the firmware. I have emailed and spoken to their support abou the issue.

Glad for you. Watching the discs that play, I can see that this set is a keeper! .. but not for me. Not until conditions are more favorable.
The first broadcast of the show was seen by me on a television my Dad built in the 50s so I'm a long and serious fan. I'm actually happier that others can enjoy The Twilight Zone in Blu-ray!

All my discs have played fine so far except for disc 4. The episode (2nd one on disc) Long live Walter Jamison. It starts to freeze up and act funny within the first 5 minutes or so of the episode. It was during a conversation between the Walter Jamison character and the old man right after they eat dinner. Not sure of the exact time. I haven't watched anything else on the disc so I don't know if anything else on there is messed up. I am gonna try to exchange my disc 4 for a new one at Ultimate Electronics tonight. My firmware is up to date as well. I'm thinking this is a pressing issue. I hope Image gets on it or maybe my exchange will work better.

Update: I exchanged that one disc (disc 4) at Ultimate Electronics and now it seems to work fine. I watched the Walter Jamison episode and it did not stutter. I can't say the rest of the disc is perfect because I haven't gotten through it yet but the problematic episode is fine. It must be certain batches have different discs that were effected. However the guy at the store played my copy in a Sony 370 I have a 360 and the disc played fine so maybe it is a firmware thing but as far as I know there is no new firmware update for the 360 yet. Whatever, it works now so I guess I shouldn't complain.

I finally moved on to disc 5 yesterday, (no problems on that disc at all) but it was almost unbearable to get any kind of enjoyment out of disc 4... On my PS3 it was skipping and freezing, and towards the end of the disc was starting to speed up and slow down... And the whole time that disc was in the PS3, I could hear the drive making a pretty terrible repetitious "loading" sound. What is it about some random discs making the PS3 not play back correctly?

Are there enough of us to warrant a replacement disc program? I bought my set from DVDempire, and I'd rather not go through the motions of getting a new set just to have the same problems...

I'm not that far into the season so far, but is that glitch on disc 4 only happening on PS3s? Because I'm already talking to Sony through email about other disc problems people are having (How I Met Your Mother, Sunshine, Zack and Miri, Pineapple Express) and seeing if they can make a patch for the firmware so they play correctly. Maybe the disc has a problem with the firmware like the previously mentioned movies? If it's only happening with PS3s I'll mention it in the next email.

Edit: Just a heads up, I actually sent Sony another message about the Disc 4 problem of Twilight Zone. They said they're going to look into all the disc problems and get back to me. Hopefully I hear something sooner rather than later and they can find a way to fix the problems

Just went to watch disc 4 and it wouldn't load. Came here and see I'm not the only one. I don't have a PS3, I'm using a Panasonic. If I have trouble getting a replacement disc, I'm going to cancle my Season 2 preoder and probably just give up on getting future sets. I didn't order from Amazon and I can't find my reciept, so this will probably end up being a loss for me and Image if I can't get a replacement. And my firmware is up to date.

Back again. Disc 4 is crap, as I got into the last couple of episodes my disc would freeze and skip. Obviously there has to be an issue with that disc. For me the first time I had problems during Long Live Walter Jamison but the exchange copy I got had problems with The Big Tall Wish and A Nice Place to Visit (this one wouldn't play at all). I'm not gonna exchange it again I am gonna try to contact Image and see how that goes. Does anyone know a customer service number for Image. All I can find is e-mail addresses and I'd like to call them direct. Any help would be appreciated.

You won't really know until you've watched the whole disc. I thought mine was fine then had problems with different episodes then the first one I bought.
