Almost everyone my age agrees that the Star Wars we knew is long gone now. I so enjoy watching my uncleaned up Dvd's of the way I saw them. I wish Lucas would give us a restored print of the Original three but that will never happen.

My 15 year old son has never seen the revised ones. I trained him up right and he watches the originals we me...they are his favorite films.

He changed it because he wanted Han Solo to be more of a hero for the younger generation. If he shot second, he shot in self defense and that is ok. If he shot first, he meant to kill Greedo and that is just not heroic....probably the stupidest argument I have ever witnessed but it is the one he used on why he changed it.

Actually he changed it at first from Han to Greedo shoots first...then after much outcry he changed it to they shoot at the same time! Im sure on the next revision (and there will be more im sure) that the Bartender shoots first. Becuse it will tie in with a revision he has for Revenge of the Sith or something...

How does he view the PT? I know my 6-year old nephew thinks it's garbage compared to the OT (except he loves Jar Jar).

Right, that is what I meant. By shooting second, his mentality changes to the more heroic type like Lucas was saying. But by shooting at the same time, it still does not give that cold-blooded killer feeling like when he fired first and rocked Greedo.

Sorry but the majority of the over 35 crowd just disagrees with you and always will. So we will leave it at that.
None of that changes the story of the original trilogy. Thank you for playing.

Star Wars died in 1997. IMO.

More the fact that he shot Greedo in cold blood.

Yes, Greedo was threatening him. But he killed Greedo for no reason.

Han didn't have a bounty on his head at that time. Greedo was just being overzealous.

By having Greedo actually fire, whether it be first or at the same time (same time actually way better) ... clarifed that he was planning to just kill Han, regardless of there actually not being a bounty on his head yet.

He likes them ok...but then he likes all the "special effects". I have nothing against the prequel trilogy other than they are inferrior to the originals in every way other than special effects ha!. God if I only had time I could type a book as to whats wrong with the prequels.

He killed Greedo because Solo was a cold blooded Pirate. Plain and simple....they changed his whole personality...end of story. I have to ask...when did you first see star wars?

No. If that was true, he would have just sold out Luke and Obi-Wan to the Empire.

There was a bounty on his head...

("Jabba's put a price on your head, so large that every bounty
hunter in the galaxy will be looking for you. I'm lucky I found you
first.")

First you say that Vader wasn't the one to bring balance to the force (which you later changed your position on), and now this?

in the end, the whole "prophecy" angle was stupid and moot, because the Sith returned anyways. They always will. You can't have Jedi without Sith/the dark side. Yin and yang.

The Sith didn't return. The novels are not official canon.

Wrong. He saw his reward coming with rescuing Leia and he was very well compensated. He did not change his mentality until his conversation with Luke after the reward. By not shooting first his mentality barely needs to change in order for him to help out the Rebel Alliance.
