I watched about 20 minutes of footage today. This is without a doubt the finest blu-ray in terms of PQ that I have seen...just glorious. Even if you don't like the movie, this is grade A demo material. The audio is stellar as well.

I would've rather had the digital copy instead of the dvd, just because I'm deploying in a few days and it would've been nice on my Itouch. Oh well, I guess I'll have to do the conversion myself.

Just got my copy and watched 40 minutes of it. PQ/AQ is very impressive. The colors sure didn't [pop like this in the 3D version.

Doubters be damned! I love this movie.

So many people were all like "You only liked it because of the 3D!! Once you watch it at home youll realize it sucks!!!"

totally owned. The movie is still great, and it looks more beautiful than ever

I was there opening day for the midnight release at the IMAX 3D... and I was seriously disappointed by how cheesy and predictable it is. However, having said that, I am a big fan of James Cameron's movies and I have only seen this movie the one time. I will be getting it on blu-ray today so will watch it a 2nd time. I can't see my opinions changing much on it but it definitely doesn't make my top 10 films right now. It's pretty much all movies of the past rolled into one... just a bunch of "been there, done that" nonsense.

Ok just picked this up. and flipped though it

And the PQ is OUT OF THIS WORLD. It looks even better then the 3D version. Wow never thought blu ray could look like it would come out of the screen. This is PURE demo.

IMPRESSIVE this is a 6/5 PQ it REALLY is astounding

This really shows that 3D will never replace 2D because AVATAR was amazing to see in 3D and its even more amazing in 2D on blu ray!
